'Lucifer' Season 5 Episode 6 is what happens after the only problem between what kept Chloe and Lucifer Morningstar apart, at least physically, was solved with a little help from Amenadiel in the previous episode. Chloe had shown up at Lucifer's place and informed him about the recent epiphany that she has had about being a part of God's great plan and how her opinion about not being in control had changed. In fact, the two kissed at the end of the previous episode however, before they could go any further, Chloe took a call and that was that.

You might think that we would see more of this action as soon as the episode began, however, what we see instead is Chloe and Lucifer arrive at a crime scene. A DJ was killed after his headphones were tampered with to cause shock and Chloe will be investigating the same with Lucifer's help. The two of them cannot wait to wrap things up and go back to continue what they were doing. However, unexpectedly Chloe's ex from the past, a hot looking DJ called Jed, turns up and starts hitting on her heavily.

Turns out It was by coincidence that Jed, the actual headliner of the party had been saved. He was the actual target and as Chloe helps keep him safe, he continues to use their past and gets closer to her. To add to this, Lucifer's jealousy is stoked after Chloe claims that she is not in a relationship to Jed. She does so to avoid her colleagues from talking and gossiping about them, but this also causes Lucifer to get insecure about their relationship.

So from wanting to "bone" each other, the two of them see misunderstanding rise to sky level because of one of their ex-flame reappearing again and this also leads to Lucifer coming to an important decision. He decides to remain a mystery when it comes to his detective to keep her interested in him forever. Of course, the plan backfires as soon as he starts to ignore her and at one point, he even throws his phone away to ensure that he is not tempted to answer Chloe's call.

While Lucifer is trying to be "mysterious", Chloe's worries about their relationship pile up. It is comical how Chloe and Lucifer keep dancing around each other and as every time they come close, its as if the music stops. Something or other plays spoilsport in their relationship and this time around, despite the sexual tension between the two rising, Lucifer's jealousy almost stops the two of them from progressing a step further in their relationship.

However, like Chloe had an epiphany last episode, this episode is Lucifer's turn to realize that what Chloe felt for her former partners is not even close to what she feels for Lucifer. He also comes to the conclusion that he needs to be honest with Chloe and talk to her about their relationship instead of taking advice regarding their relationship from people who might not always wish the best for the two of them.

Finally, after airing out all the problems, Lucifer and Chloe end up "doing it". The trouble now really is more about Chloe's fear that Michael seems to have a line one than anything else. We are certain that something wicked is incoming.

'Lucifer' Season 5 Part 1 is scheduled to release on August 21 and can be streamed on Netflix.
