Lucifer season 5: Eve and Chloe need to make our Mazikeenship dreams come true when the Netflix show returns
'Lucifer' has been in the news mainly for Tom Ellis playing the character of the devil on Earth. The series has made a mark on its audience because of his gripping and charming turn as the devil. No doubt the way Ellis has played the character has made the series memorable, the fact remains that it has been in the limelight also because of other characters who contribute in making the series what it is today.
Another character that adds to the charm of the series is the devil's friend and help Mazikeen played by Lesley-Ann Brandt; also known as Maze, she is a demon from Hell in the form of an attractive young woman.
She has existed on Earth for many millenniums and worked for Lucifer as a servant, lieutenant, enforcer, assistant, right-hand, guardian and what not. She also poses as the best friend of Lucifer and starts to work alongside him at the Lux nightclub as a bartender in Los Angeles.
As the series progresses, her character's personality comes into its own and viewers get to see that she actually has feelings for Lucifer that are way more than what we expected; but the understanding is that his emotions towards her are only platonic -- only as a friend who he confides in and she starts to let go but still continues to have his back from all the dangers he puts himself through as the series goes along.
Mazikeen's relationship status throughout the series has always been something that the fans have had a keen interest in. From being in love with Lucifer to pretending to be in love with his brother Amenedial ( DB Woodside) who she lures in to find out why he is on Earth and how he is planning in trying to get Lucifer back to hell.
The attempts to fool Amenedial fail and they actually begin to start having strong feelings for each other, but all goes to waste when things between them do not work out because of the role they each individually play in Lucifer's life. In due course of time Maze leaves Lucifer and moves in with Chloe Decker and the two begin to have a strong friendly relationship as housemates and bond like sisters.
Things take a turn for Maze during season four with the entry of a new character on the show. Eve, the first woman made and mother to Cain and Abel and played by Inbar Levi, enters the scene as the former lover of Lucifer.
Eve was created to be Adam’s new mate after he separated from his first wife Lilith. At some point, she and Adam met and both entered into a sexual relationship with Lucifer Morningstar while they were both still married to one another. She gave birth to two sons by Adam named Cain and Abel.
When Adam and Eve died on earth they became the first human residents of Silver City.
Eve spent an eternity married to Adam in Heaven, trying her best to be the woman he wanted her to be but never succeeding. Somehow Eve discovered a way to escape Heaven and was reborn on earth in her original youthful appearance. Having escaped Heaven and landing on Earth she looks for Lucifer and then decides to pursue him back into her life but he avoids and tells her about his love for Chloe.
During the season Eve begins to fall for Maze as she begins to confide to her her feelings about Lucifer. The fans have made so many speculations about a new relationship that they will be able to witness in the new upcoming season 5. Will there be a newly formed Eve-Maze bond made for Maze's fans to finally be content with her relationship status or will there be another entry as a new prospect for the mazikeenship to finally set sail in the direction of true love.
