'Love Island USA' Season 6 runner-up Leah Kateb accused of embarrassing social media 'crime'
MAMANUCA ISLANDS, FIJI: 'Love Island USA' Season 6 star Leah Kateb has recently earned runner-up status alongside her connection Miguel Hirachi during the dating show's finale. However, before the finale, Leah's Instagram followers surpassed a million marks and viewers accused her of buying it.
Leah is reportedly the first contestant from the USA version of the Peacock dating show to reach the milestone. She had just 12k followers when she entered the villa but her fame escalated with her stirring drama in the show. Leah has recently got her phone back and she appreciated the love she has been getting.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories, "I love you guys more than you could ever know. Nothing could have prepared me for the love that was waiting for me outside the villa. I can't f*****g wait to thank you all, talk to you all and do my bigggggg one!!!!!!" Meanwhile, the viewers insisted on Reddit that either her fans or someone else had bought followers for her.
A social media user wrote, "I would never buy someone followers that I was a fan of. Imao like it's not that deep." Another person added, "Some fans probably did buy her followers for no reason at all. Hell, they do it all the time. The fans of the UK people last season were buying their faves followers too."
Another internet user penned, "Yeah, it's obviously her family. Buying followers is not expensive for them at all, it's a drop in the hat - and sets her up successfully when she gets out of the villa so she can launch. It's an excellent strategy. It's baffling that people think it's organic, though."

'Love Island USA' Season 6 star Leah Kateb seemed to be in love with Rob Rausch but their romance didn't last long. However, things changed between the duo with Leah and Rob choosing different partners but they seemed to still have feelings for each other.
In the previous episode, Leah admitted that she still cared about Rob but she would not reconcile her relationship with him. Leah insisted, "I just wanted Rob to still be here. But I know my feelings. I know I like Miguel and I feel like those feelings are reciprocated."

During the 'Love Island USA' Season 6 finale episode, the runner-ups Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi wrote touching letters for each other. Leah read the letter, "If you would have told me that I was going to end up here with the guy who made out with every single one of my friends, I would believe you!"
She added, "You know I like’em a little toxic, just kidding! Thank you for coming in here and making this feel like the experience I was meant to have." Miguel also has some romantic lines for Leah and he read, "I know that to you, there are sides that perhaps you are even ashamed of, but to me, there’s a blinding light that far outshines all of their shortcomings; thank you, Leah, for being all that you are."
