'Love Island' star Anna Vakili, who has currently taken up a job as a pharmacist due to the coronavirus pandemic, got into an ugly brawl with a bunch of teenagers in London's Hyde Park recently, and now we are getting to hear various sides to the story.

After a clip featuring Vakili dragging a girl by the hair and her sister Mandi kicking the alleged 'drug addict' went viral, the reality tv star posted a story on Instagram to issue a long statement, in which she described the entire incident from her perspective. She began her post talking about being subjected to verbal abuse on a regular basis since her exit from 'Love Island'. She said she had learned "to turn a blind eye and remove myself from the situation".

Explaining the incident in question she wrote, "Yesterday, I was having a picnic in the park with my sister, boyfriend and cousin when we were subjected to continuous verbal abuse from a group who came near us who were doing drugs. Wanting to remove ourselves away from them we packed up to leave they came over swung my cousin and threw her by her hair leaving her bleeding." It further read, "Out of self-defense we had to get them off of her and leave. They was a large group of them and not many of us. These are not 'innocent children' the guys with them kept shouting they have a gun and they tried to steal my sister's phone. I have never had a physical fight in my life! The violent attack has been reported to the police (sic)."

In the following post she asked her followers to watch the complete video, which shows her cousin being physically attacked first. Meanwhile, the teenagers from the incident who are accused of initiating the fight under the influence of drugs have presented a completely different story. Nisrine, cousin of the girl who was attacked by Anna and Mandi, said, “Basically my cousin and sister went to Hyde Park, not far away from them were Anna and Mandi, the group of girls," according to Daily Mail. "They were just chilling or what not, my sister's friend saw her, approached and said Eid Mubarak. You as a famous person, people will approach you, so she kept calling Anna. The Asa girl told her to shut up, my sister's friend walked off. My sister and cousin stayed by themselves. The Asal girl approached my sister and told her to shut up (sic)."

She urged fans to be aware of “people you look up to” before adding, "Obviously when someone comes to your face, you're going to defend herself. Asal kept saying I'm going to f**k you up. Asal pushed her, then Anna and Mandi went rushing to my cousin and put her on the floor, Anna ripped her shirt open, Mandi kicked her." The teenagers have also claimed that they were not in possession of drugs or guns. "She has the audacity to lie, we have the evidence. What drugs are you saying? If you want to talk about drugs, you do a drug test sunni. You got caught!" they said.

While the whole incident lacks clarity and each of the parties has narrated a different version to the story, the Metropolitan Police have said that they are trying to "contact the complainant to establish the circumstances". The incident reportedly took place at 8 pm on May 25.
