'Love Is Blind': Damian weds Giannina despite his mother's warning against marrying a 'wh**e off a reality TV'
Giannina Milady Gibelli and Damian Powers are easily one of the most good-looking, lovable, and sorted couples of 'Love Is Blind.' They have bitter arguments sure, but they are able to come back to each other with much ease.
After their first major fight at Matthew Barnett's birthday party, the couple got into a major tiff right next morning, during which Giannina asked Damian why he doesn't initiate sex whereas she is ready to jump on him all the time? He says he cannot be or feel passionate when she is being so fickle. A bad start to the day got a whole lot worse when Damian's parents canceled their meeting with the couple last minute. It was their only chance to meet the newly-engaged pair before the wedding.
This bothers Giannina and she cries in her green-room interview while sharing that it felt horrible when she heard Damian's mother tell him: "Don't marry a whore off a reality TV." Although she chooses to keep quiet about it, she is stern with Damian and the fact that the situation could have been handled better. He assures her that he would do what it takes to make good the loss. Meanwhile, at the confessional, Damian shares that the whole situation had him thinking if he should continue with the wedding with his parents being missing in action. However, Giannina's parents love Damian but her mother, Milady, feels she needs more time.
The girls - Giannina, Amber Pike, Jessica Batten, Lauren Speed, Kelly Chase - are then taken for their wedding shopping, to pick out their bridal gowns. Seeing herself in a beautiful piece (which made her look like a goddess), Giannina realizes how much she wants Damian and their marriage to work. But that joy got lost in the stress of the wedding planning and she snaps at Damian once again over social media and usage of the phone.
She tries having a conversation with him but Damian keeps scrolling on his phone, which irks her no end and she begins questioning him on this behavior. The couple later goes out for dinner where Damian points out to Giannina that she gets wrapped up in her social media life so much so that it's hard for her to stay aware of what's going around her. "If we keep things the way they have been going, you will lose me," Damian adds with a heavy heart.
However, as the anger settled down a bit, they discussed their differences and how Giannina's political opinion will not change. She tells him that her country, Venezuela, is in shambles and she has to send care packages to her family every month. Damian thinks the gesture as very sweet and sincere and tells her: "If you're passionate about this, I will help you." This melts Giannina who leans over their table and kisses him.
A couple of days before the wedding day, they step out on a special date on a chopper, all arranged by Damian who wants Giannina to see how much he cares for her and her happiness. Later, they sit down for dinner, which ends with a romantic dance.
The wedding day arrives and the couple is happy but also anxious at the same time. The bride was more than happy to have her friends and family by her side but also in two minds about the wedding because she kept asking her mother, Milady, if she thinks she should get married. Later, she walks down the aisle and Damian tears up looking at her and how beautiful she looks. Their eyes were moist as they read out their vows and made promises of a lifetime. Giannina says her "I do," and it remains to be seen if Damian does the same.
