'Love, Beth': Release date, plot, cast, trailer, and everything else about the Amy Schumer show

The show is set to be executive produced by Schumer's sister Kim Caramele and Kevin Kane along with Schumer herself. Endeavour Content is taking care of international sales.

Amy Schumer is set to return to television. Hulu is in a bid to expand its original comedy slate and its association with Schumer. The actress and comedian has signed a first-look deal with Hulu, which includes her first new series since her breakthrough project on Comedy Central titled 'Inside Amy Schumer'.

Hulu’s current comedy slate includes shows like 'PEN15', 'Shrill', and 'Ramy'. It was also recently announced that Hulu had acquired the Canadian comedy series 'Letterkenny', which will return as a Hulu original for its upcoming seventh season.

Release date

There is no release date announced as of yet, but in all likelihood, Hulu will be slotting the comedy series for a late 2020 release. 

Plot

Details of the plot still aren't out yet, but what we know is 'Love, Beth' is Schumer's first scripted TV series regular role and her first show since her Comedy Central show, which catapulted her into stardom.

'Love, Beth' is a half-hour comedy series created, directed, written, executive produced by and starring Schumer.

The show is set to be executive produced by Schumer's sister Kim Caramele and Kevin Kane as well. Endeavour Content is taking care of international sales. 

The comedian created and hosted the self-titled 'Inside Amy Schumer' on Comedy Central. The show, which was set to return to the Viacom-owned cabler in 2017, but it hasn't returned to the channel since the fourth season was the fourth season aired in 2016.

According to sources, Schumer still has the contract with Comedy Central for a fifth season. Both the channel and the comedian are on the same page regarding a potential fifth season, i.e. if the comedian wants to do it, the network will take it. But there is no rush for her to deliver the show. In an interview, Schumer had expressed her interest in the fifth season.

Where to watch

The series is slated to come to Hulu in late 2020.
