'Love After Lockup': Destinie says she'll continue having sex with women, but what about Shawn?
Shawn and Destinie's relationship has gotten off to a rocky start, with her punching him in the face for not sharing the whole truth about his age and the six kids he has been co-parenting with a woman he is not married to. But has she been honest with him? Not really.
In this week's episode of 'Love After Lockup,' Destinie admitted that she has secrets too but not with Shawn. During her confessional, she said she would be keeping them from Shawn. However, later, Destinie revealed that she has been intimate with women in the prison and she is considering continuing those sexual relationships despite being in a committed relationship with Shawn. She even has the names of these women tattooed.
What does this mean for their relationship? How will Shawn react when he learns of her other sexual relationships? Destinie's secret has the potential to break her and Shawn up forever but that is not what has her mind occupied at the moment. In the nine months that they have dated, this was the first time Shawn and Destinie were in a room together. Of course, they have been waiting for this moment when they can get close to each other, share intimate moments with each other but will that be enough to keep them going.
The couple shares an odd relationship where Shawn cannot seem to figure out Destinie and her behavior towards him. One moment, she tells him she would hit him if he ever lied to her about being in a relationship with another woman, minutes later, she lists out things she has been wanting to do. "I want to go parasailing. I read in a Nicholas Sparks book," she said as Shawn drove them to their hotel.
As soon as they entered their room, she went for a shower while Shawn decorated their bed and the jacuzzi with flowers. He wanted to make their first night together special and the efforts were appreciated.
