'Love After Lockup': Destinie punches Shawn for talking to Kelly, fans wonder if this will land her back in jail

Destinie doesn't appreciate Shawn wanting to stay in touch with Kelly, the mother of his kids

Shawn and Destinie's conflicts reached a fever pitch after she caught him talking to Kelly on the phone. Shawn and Kelly are not married; they have six kids together, whom they co-parent. But Destinie was kept in the dark about Shawn being in touch with her on a regular basis. And this was what caused the tension to spiral out of control. 

In this week's episode of 'Love After Lockup,' Destinie was not just verbally abusive. She punched and hit Shawn as he got into his car to drive to work. Destinie expressed her anger and frustration about not being kept in the loop. She was said she was done and wanted to get back home. 

Before all of this went down, they already had a sort of heated conversation about her spending a lot on cosmetics and casinos. In her defense, these are things she needs. Shawn was worried that she was going from one addiction to another and therefore, asked her to tone down on her expenses. 

Meanwhile, fans have been speculating if Destinie will go back to jail for hitting Shawn. "My money is now on Destinie going back to jail first. That wasn't just a slap. She punched Shawn. Her ass needs to stay in jail. #LoveAfterLockup," a viewer commented, while another shared: "That punch made me wonder if there was a reason Destinie's family wasn't arguing about her being far, far away for a reason. Most families have concerns about a released inmate being so far away from them."

"She has serious anger and control issues. Nothing worse than seeing a passive person get the shit beat out of them and screamed at," a viewer expressed. "I’ve never seen someone SO determined to go back to jail as Destinie is! Shawn might as well kiss that 5grand away because her a$$ is not going to make it to the alter #loveafterlockup," another tweeted. 

Here's hoping the couple is able to hash out their differences and are able to see and understand each other's point of view

With this week's episode, 'Love After Lockup' Season 3 has gone into a mid-season break and will return in October. No updates on the return date yet.
