'Love After Lockup': Maurice proposes to Jessica using her dad's money, fans worry if he'll ever get a job

Jessica and Maurice's relationship is on the fast track. It seemed like it was yesterday that he was released from prison and the couple is already pregnant and planning their second wedding. The first one was all about signing a few papers and clicking awkward pictures within the prison walls. So, for Maurice, it doesn't count and Jessica wasn't gung-ho about it either. 

In this week's episode of 'Love After Lockup,' the couple were touring a chapel that they were interested in booking for their wedding when Maurice got down on one knee to propose to Jessica. She was overwhelmed and praised his choice of ring, the money for which was given to him by her father. Later, Jessica told the producers how much she appreciated the gesture but at the same time seemed doubtful if Maurice had done "something illegal" to get the ring. 

Meanwhile, fans were emotional about the proposal too but were more concerned about how Maurice should focus on getting a job rather than spending his time planning a wedding because the couple has a baby coming up and soon they'll have to look after a family of three. 

"Maurice really getting on my nerve instead of getting out finding a job developing a relationship with your daughter you knock this girl up and have to have her dad give you money for her ring #LoveAfterLockup," a fan commented, while another shared:  "JESSICA's Father will never see that $1000 again. It's gone. Maurice made sure he knocked Jessica up right away. He is setting the stage for never getting a job. #LoveAfterLockup."

"Jessica needs to help Maurice get a job instead of planning a wedding! You need that extra money! #loveafterlockup," a user tweeted, while the other posted: "Its high end to Maurice. He aint never gonna get a job. He has been busy doing lots of things since he got out. Looking for a job isnt one of those things. #LoveAfterLockup."
