'Love After Lockup' Episode 8: Does Destinie leave Shawn after she finds out about Kelly or is it something else?
Shawn and Destinie's relationship is going okay at the moment. They are in Las Vegas, Nevada, spending quality time, partying with friends but little did they know that it was soon going to be chaotic.
In tonight's episode, we see Destinie (who seemed enraged for reasons unknown) asking Shawn to book her air a flight ticket so that she can go back home. This will happen while Shawn's on the phone with someone. Was it Kelly? Shawn has six children with Kelly but they are not married. He has been in touch with her but has not shared that information with Destinie.
Will Destinie leave because she finds out about Shawn and Kelly or is it something else?
Previously, we saw Destinie score a date with a furniture store salesgirl, who was also in prison and into girls. Destinie was happy to explore the possibility of dating a girl while being in a relationship with a man. But, her joy was cut short by a failed transaction. She called Shawn immediately to check why his card wouldn't swipe. Unfortunately, he didn't have a definitive answer to it, which prompted Destinie to think if he cut her off. This could be a possibility given how Shawn had been worried about the expenses and the amount of money he has already spent on Destinie.
We have another reason why Destinie would want to leave Shawn's house. However, nothing can be confirmed at the moment and we'll have to wait and watch how things play out between the couple.
Here's hoping Destinie and Shawn are able to hash it all out and start afresh because they share a chemistry that's hard to find. They may have dated just nine months, but had a positive start and therefore, they should be able to find reasons to maintain that. Especially Shawn because he has fought with friends and family, defended Destinie when she was being branded as someone who was only catfishing him and will one day rob him of his money.
