Trust Skip Bayless to land in trouble over and over again. Over the last week, Bayless has been at the receiving end on social media. It started off with his comments on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and things seem to have just gone downhill for the sportscaster. He was roasted by fans on social media again on Friday, September 18, after Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets.

A combined team effort saw the Lakers defeat the Nuggets 126-114 to go 1-0 up in the series. Bayless took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the game. "I predicted Lakers in five. But the Lakers should sweep these Nuggets," his comment read. And what followed was an avalanche of tweets by fans of both teams mostly slamming him.

Here are a few choice reactions to Bayless's opinion: "They’re not sweeping shit, remember Denver was down 3-1 against Utah and the Clips too. Don’t count them out," read one of the tweets by most definitely by a Nuggets fan. "He just wants to set the bar high for the lakers so that even when they lose one game, he will roast them for losing 1 game, same as he did with blazer series," opined one of the fans of the Lakers. "Again...as everyone else has...your overblowing game one. The Lakers have an unprecedented amount of free throws shot this game. KCP is on fire. The Nuggets lost to the Clippers by 23 in game one. R.E.L.A.X. If you watched the Nuggets play EVER...this is how it goes," tweeted another.

Another fan pointed out: "@RealSkipBayless they may Skip, but not because they’re a way better team. They will most certainly get there because @KingJames gets every single call and it’s obvious the @NBA wants the Lakers in the championship. If you don’t see that, you are blind."

For the Lakers, it was their forward-center Anthony Davis who had 37 points of which 14 came in the first quarter and he scored 17 in the third quarter. He was assisted by LeBron James with 15 points, 12 assists and six rebounds. Caldwell-Pope: chipped in with 18 pts and three 3 PM while Dwight Howard added to the score with 13 points. For the Nuggets, Jokic and Jamal Murray scored 21 points each.

One of the fans noticed there was no mention of Lebron in Bayless's tweet for which he received an answer. "Don’t worry it’s in the agenda. If the Lakers don’t sweep he’ll bash Bron for it, and if it is a sweep he’ll say it was supposed to be and complain that Bron missed free throws while up 24 in the 4th lol," a fan wrote. Nuggets fans are still optimistic. "This is barely game one 1.4 ..... Clippers did the same, remember how Clippers killed Nuggets in Game 1 and led in all games by at least 12 points and still lost. So give Nuggets a chance and hold your horses," a fan tweeted.
