With Thursday's win, Danny Green can breathe easy as Anthony Davis and LeBron James starred for the Los Angeles Lakers as they thumped Portland Trail Blazers 111-88. It was a huge relief for not just the team, but also Laker's fans who were on the edge after Greens flailing performance and the loss in Game 1. The icing on the cake? It was their first playoff win in eight years.

Davis will be the man to thank for as he slammed in 31 points with 11 rebounds and displayed some class defense. LeBron chipped in with 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played his part with 16 points and two rebounds. Lakers' fans were all smiles and took to Twitter to celebrate and were lavish in their praise for Davis. "Anthony Davis played like the best player in the world. The role players stepped up and Lebron got to rest. Defense was key to the victory. Game 3 will be interesting!" wrote one of the fans.

There was praise for KCP and his 16 points as well. "Obviously the story was Anthony Davis, but KCP was great tonight. Lakers defense has been great over these first two games.. big Game 3 on Saturday night!! #NBAPlayoffs #Lakers #LakeShow #LeBronJames #AnthonyDavis #kcp"

With this, the Trail Blazer's Blazers’ winning streak ends at five games. Add to it was an injury to Damian Lillard who dislocated his left index finger.
