Lakers vs Rockets: Russell Westbrook slammed for dismal performance, ticked off fans dub him 'Westbrick'
It might not have been the sort of win the Los Angeles Lakers would have imagined, but they will take the 117-109 win against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. It was another close game and the Rockets were almost set for a 2-0 lead, but not before LeBron James and Anthony Davis had something to say about it.
In the end, the Lakers evened up the series and Russell Westbrook's off-day on the court had Rockets fans seething on social media and was dubbed "Westbrick".
"Westbrook was at it again making horrible decisions during crucial times of the game," wrote one of the fans.

"Russell westbrook’s mistakes almost exclusively come from him not having no real game. can’t shoot, no wiggle no handle, these have just gotten worse as his career has went on and now it’s all but gone. and then he makes terrible decisions. thus mistakes. still an elite athlete," read one of the tweets.

Some wondered how Game 3 would pan out for Westbrook. "Game 3 — Westbrook will either come back with a angry monstrous game winning performance, or have an even worse nightmare game than today. There's no inbetween."

"Westbrook was the Lakers 6th man tonight no bapp," a fan opined.
It was a night to forget for the Rockets man as he ended with 10 points, 4 assists, 26% FG, 33%FT, and 14% of three-pointers along with seven turnovers. "Russell westbrook was the MVP of the lakers tonight," a fan mocked.

He was defended by coach Mike D'Antoni. "Mike D'Antoni signaled that reducing Westbrook's minutes isn't an option. "We're not going to win anything without Russell. He's going to break through it. He's more upset than anybody. He's a great, great player. He'll be fine. Not worried about him."
"Russell Westbrick is so bad and such a liability on offense it’s crazy. You knew he couldn’t shoot threes but his turnovers are so out of control and honestly, it seems that him not playing is better at times for the rockets," a fan opined.

Skip Bayless weighed-in as well: "LeBron set a strong early tone in the 4th quarter, and the Lakers stepped it up on defense, but the truth is, the Rockets just started missing open threes. Lakers should thank their lucky stars for Russell Westbrick."
