'London Kills' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything you need to know about Acorn TV show's new season

The second season will explain what happened to David Bradford's wife, whose whereabouts after her mysterious disappearance is still unknown
UPDATED JUN 29, 2019

Acorn TV's first original murder mystery, 'London Kills,' premiered on the network's streaming platform on February 25 and left the audiences gasping for more. Fast-paced, intense, twisted and murky, the show had all the essentials you need in a murder mystery. The five-episode season shot in documentary style follows the city's best detectives as they face a series of twisted murders.

Season 1 ended with a teasing cliffhanger and here's what we know so far about the upcoming season.

Release date

'London Kills' season 2 will hit Acorn TV on July 15.

Plot

Set in London - one of the busiest cities of the world - Bradford (Hugo Speer) and his elite group of the city's finest detectives solves a murder in each new episode. As the themes keep getting darker and grittier, all the murders start showing a common connection. At the end of Season 1, we come to know that the main psychopath murderer this season - Amber (Jennie Jacques) - hasn't 'murdered' Bradford's wife. That being said, there has been no confirmation on whether she is still just missing, or as Bradford's colleague DC Vivienne Cole (Sharon Small) likes to put it, dead.

Previously, in an exclusive with MEA WorldWide, writer Paul Marquess shed light on the theory and said that season 2 would explain what happened to David's wife. And this being the only point teased, we can surely expect a lot more grisly murders and twists that would tie up all loose ends.

Cast

Hugo Speer will be back as DI David Bradford. (IMDb)

Much of the original cast are set to reprise their roles in season 2. Hugo Speer plays lead protagonist, DI David Bradford; Detective Sergeant Vivienne Cole (Sharon Small) who plays by her own rules, seasoned crime-solver Detective Constable Rob Brady (Bailey Patrick) and inexperienced Trainee Detective Constable Billie Fitzgerald (Tori Allen-Martin) round up the list of detectives.

Jennie Jacques plays the psychotic killer and the main suspect Amber in the series. Adrianna Bertola plays Carly Bradford, the missing wife DI Bradford. Steve Broad, Saffron Hocking, Jack Shalloo, and Glenn Webster, round up the cast.

Writer/Director

Mary Hare will be back as the producer for season 2. Paul Marquess, Shane Murphy, and Robert Franke will return as executive producers.

Trailer

There is no official trailer yet for the second season. But with the premiere set to arrive in a fortnight, it's only a matter of time before we see some new footage hitting the internet. We'll keep you posted when it arrives.
