SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA: Popular YouTube personality, Logan Paul expressed his gratitude to an animal sanctuary after they "rescued" the pet pig he owned in 2020, named Pearl, when she was "abandoned" more than a couple of years after the YouTuber owned her. The Gentle Barn, which is a California-based nonprofit organization, received an email from the 27-year-old where he thanked them for re-homing his former pet. A few years ago when Paul owned Pearl, he shared a few pictures of the pig on social media, saying that he thought she was a "mini pig" when he bought her but later, she grew huge.

According to the "impulsive" host, Pearl lived with him until April 2020 before he moved to Puerto Rico. According to TMZ, Logan rehomed the pig to a horse ranch in Santa Clarita, before she moved to the ranch across the street, quoting from an email the website said they had obtained. On Monday, January 9, The Gentle Barn took to Instagram to share a video of Pearl, claiming she was "lucky to be alive" and was "irresponsibly" rehomed.

The outlet reported that after learning of Pearl's fate, Logan contacted the animal sanctuary and offered to "contribute to her care again," thanking them for rescuing her. The Gentle Barn's original post showed Pearl being brought into the animal sanctuary, claiming the pig was "lucky to be alive".

"We got a call about a pig abandoned in a field, she was found with another pig who had passed away. She's lucky to be alive. We were told she belonged to a famous YouTuber and was irresponsibly rehomed," they explained in writing over the video, adding, "All we know for sure is she ended up abandoned and scared with mangled ears and a broken heart. So we brought her to our sanctuary with a promise that she will never be alone again. Welcome home, Pearl."

The Gentle Barn said in an accompanying caption that she was found with a "potentially life-threatening" infection. They penned, "She'll NEVER be alone again. Pearl was found abandoned in a field next to another pig who had died. She came to us with tattered ears and a potentially life-threatening infection in her uterus that has since been healed. She's clearly been through so much trauma that we can't begin to imagine, but she's now safe with us at The Gentle Barn."

They continued, "From what we've been told, it's believed she was purchased originally from a breeder by an influencer. People often buy 'mini pigs' or 'teacup pigs' for clout online, believing they will stay small. When they inevitably grow very large and have many unexpected needs, they're sadly discarded. While we don't know everything she's been through in her past, we know her life is now filled with friends, nutritious foods, the highest quality care, and so much love. It's thanks to your support that we're able to say yes to rescues like Pearl. Thank you for being a part of our work to rescue and rehabilitate animals with nowhere else to go."

According to a sources close to Paul, the YouTuber was reportedly very upset to learn of Pearl's condition.
