Lizzo twerks beside Christmas tree in thong bodysuit amid criticism of promoting 'unhealthy' diet in detox
It seems Lizzo is in full festive mood now as she was seen twerking in a new Instagram video. The 32-year-old — donning a thong bodysuit — was competing with the lights she put on her Christmas tree. Placing her back in front of the camera, she said, “Me versus the tree b***h, let's see who wins!" The ‘Cuz I Love You’ singer continued to twerk in sync with the lights and added, “Come on! Keep up b***h, keep up!" as she began to get out of breath.
Lizzo received a lot of positive comments for the video. One fan of her wrote in the comment section, “You stay UNDEFEATED!!” Another one said, “Now their is a view i would love to wake up to christmas morning.” “Queen Lizzo you always win don’t you know that?” the third one added. The ‘Good as Hell’ singer’s twerking video soon followed another happy post in which she gifted an Audi to her mother for Christmas. The caption of the social media post read, “Got my mommy a brand new Audi for Xmas. I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family. I couldnt do it for my dad so ima make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’all.”

This comes after Lizzo was criticized heavily for ten-day detox, which many claimed was promoting an "unhealthy" diet. The rapper had green smoothies in the morning, “beauty juice" at night, vegan protein bars as a snack along with multiple capsules in between while soaking her feet in “herb water” for ten days. She showed her routine to her 9.6 million followers on Instagram, claiming that the she was trying the plan after drinking “a lot and ate a lot of food that f**ked my stomach up,” while in Mexico last month. She added, “In reality, November stressed me the f**k out. I drank a lot, I ate a lot of spicy things and things that f**ked my stomach up. And honestly I wanted to reverse it and get back to where I was.”
But there were several people on the internet that felt that Lizzo’s way was not “healthy”. One such person said, “Lizzo….girl. Why? It was inevitable. The industry is so violent towards fat women. Of course she was going to submit to toxic diet culture. It was only a matter of time.” “Lizzo promoted a smoothie detox diet and people are all 'leave her alone she’s not bothering anyone' but detoxes like those are really bad," the second one stated.
The slamming did not deter Lizzo’s positivity towards her body as she shared a video series of nude body shots of her figure. In the caption, she wrote, “To Every Body, with love.” She also posted a very bold photo of her while just wearing underpants with a very powerful caption that read, “I detoxed my body and I’m still fat. I love my body and I’m still fat. I’m beautiful and I’m still fat. These things are not mutually exclusive. To the people who look to me, please do not starve yourselves. I did not starve myself. I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy. That was my way. You can do life your way. Remember, despite anything anyone says or does. DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR BODY.”
