The coronavirus quarantine has let most celebrities take a break from their fast-paced lives and enjoy living the common man's daily routine. For Lizzo, the lockdown has given her the opportunity to self-reflect on her body image as she admitted that she had gotten addicted to makeup.

The 'Truth Hurts' singer, who has been a vocal advocate for body positivity recently said in an interview with People magazine that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought a silver lining in her life has enabled her to celebrate her makeup-free look. “I think it’s cool that we get the opportunity to turn off,” The singer said. “My dream is to just take off my nails, not wear makeup and just grow my ‘fro out and walk around naked in my own garden.”

She added, “I think I’ve been in makeup every single day of my life for the last six months. We get addicted to seeing ourselves really dolled up. I had a few days off in Brazil back in February where I wasn’t in makeup and I remember being like, ‘Yo why am I so ugly to myself right now? It’s because I got addicted, used to seeing my face with contour. I never thought that would happen because I’m such an earthy bitch, I can go days without makeup!'”

With her new realization, the star has taken to her Instagram page and shared makeup-free videos of herself playing the flute in front of her crystals, perming meditation sessions on Instagram Live with SZA, and stressing on the importance of self-love to her followers during these difficult times. “What’s been really cool is seeing all of these people who are in glam every single day, not in glam every single day. I think that’s f—ing sick!” she told the outlet.

The Grammy-winner has been taking the time to hone her cooking skills and also helping out the people in need by donating meals to hospitals all over the country. “I’ve been cooking, which is exciting and I cook for one. It’s just me up in here and I love being able to meditate. And I’ve been taking f—ing baths! This is the first time I ever had a bathtub in my house that I can actually fit in and I’ve been using that [thing]," she said.

She also took the time to reflect on the plight of the daily wage earners and those suffering from serious ailments during this period of crisis.

“I feel like I’m doing well,” she said. “I feel bad because there’s so many people who weren’t prepared for this. I think that’s been the hardest part for me, is emotionally being tapped in and being so empathetic and feeling for people. There’s a lot of people right now who are going through it and my little problems ain’t nothing compared to theirs.”

Last month, she sponsored lunch for the ER members of a number of hospitals, including a University of Minnesota affiliate in Minneapolis. Minneapolis will always hold a special place in Lizzo's heart because it was where she first started her singer career from. “She sent several hospitals food that were hit really hard for staff working around the clock,” her publicist told the Seattle Times. “She is planning to send food to more hospitals as well."
