'Little People, Big World': Amy recreates '80s prom, says she 'felt hurt' in school as she was never asked out
Amy Roloff and Chris Marek are happily engaged but there are still some things the pair have not done in their life. Amy said she found out that Chris too had also not gone to his prom, which made her think about throwing a prom party and inviting all her friends. The reality star went on to reveal that she never attended prom in her school because she was never asked.
She revealed that if one wasn't asked by a guy to the prom, they never went. Amy admitted that growing up had been hard as she was the only little person in her school and her area. She said it wasn't easy as she felt like an outcast even though she was part of many things.
"I felt hurt," she said while recalling some of the memories from the past. Despite not having an opportunity to go to a prom, Amy knew she was now old enough to take matters in her hand and make changes in her life. She decided to throw an '80s prom and give a chance to every person to relive the prom they never had.
Amy hinted that she wanted to settle for the '80s theme because she graduated in the '80s while Chris graduated in 1981. Finding out that Chris also did not have a prom night, Amy thought it would be a good way for them to make memories and celebrate something together. Meanwhile, she was also left surprised to find out that some of her friends had also never attended prom.
She managed to pick out the perfect outfit for her prom day while arranging everything for the event. One thing that Amy was looking forward to was having her prom date, Chris, next to her. Chris managed to leave Amy surprised as he decided to shave his beard and dye his hair.
Amy was pleased to have her date by her side and everyone danced their night away. She also managed to break the good news about her engagement with some of her friends, who were unaware. The day ended with Amy and Chris being crowned the king and queen as she danced the night making new memories.
