Lisandro Arellano: Dog sitter who dragged relative’s bulldog after tying it to pickup truck arrested

ATLANTIS, FLORIDA: The Palm Beach County Office arrested a Florida man, Lisandro Arellano, for dragging a French bulldog behind his truck. The dog was given by his relative to look after. The horrific act of the accused on camera. Though, he was released hours later on a $3,000 bond. Arellano is facing two charges under animal cruelty.
Fortunately, the dog named Blanco survived the ordeal with scrapes to its body since a veterinarian treated him. The incident occurred on October 9 at Atlantis. Detectives said they could locate Arellano, and he agreed to turn the French bulldog mix Blanco over to animal control, reported Wabi5.

Meanwhile, the incident was reported to the police on October 10th by a motorist that he observed the suspect dragging by her leash and neck collar. The motorist noted this terrible act while traveling eastbound on Lantana Road between Military Trail and Lawrence Road on Sunday, October 9, 2022. According to Boca Post, the investigation team understood that he was not the dog owner. However, Arellano was entrusted by a family member to watch their dog. He claimed to be the owner of Blanco and had custody and control of her at the time of the incident. The accused carried Blanco in the bed of his truck in an inhumane manner.
A Facebook Post by Palm Beach County Sheriff's office stated, "Earlier this month, a French Bulldog mix was seen being dragged from a moving truck traveling eastbound on Lantana Road between Military Trail and Lawrence Road. The witness caught the attention of the suspect, thinking it was an honest mistake, but when the suspect stopped his vehicle, he picked the dog up off the ground and threw her in the bed of his truck then drove off."
The post further said, "After further investigation, detectives and PBC Animal Care & Control, located the suspect, who agreed to turn over the French Bulldog mix named Blanco to PBC Animal Care & Control. The investigation determined that Blanco did not belong to Lisandro but to another family member that entrusted him with watching Blanco."
Meanwhile, the post also claimed, "PBSO is grateful for the motorist who witnessed this heinous act, took a picture of the suspect’s license plate and turn it over for us to investigate further, resulting in the arrest of Lisandro Arellano for Aggravated Animal Cruelty and Cruelty towards animals. Lisandro Arellano was arrested and booked into the PBC Jail and Blanco is being treated and recovering."
