While Aerosmith fans rejoiced over Steven Tyler doing amazingly well after coming out of rehab, they later got to deal with the unfortunate news of the band’s drummer Joey Kramer’s wife passing away. Linda Kramer died on June 22 at the age of 55. The sad news of her demise was confirmed by Joey Kramer’s rep. She is now survived by her husband, her parents, her three sisters, step-siblings, stepson Jesse, and many nieces and nephews.
 
Joey Kramer has been a member of Aerosmith since its formation in 1970. According to reports, there are no memorial services planned. It might be held by the family at a later date. A cause for Linda’s death was not shared. MEAWW will keep you posted. The news of Linda Kramer passing away comes three months after Aerosmith’s drummer had announced his "temporary leave of absence" citing family as the main reason.

Who was Joey Kramer’s wife Linda Kramer?

Joey Kramer’s wife Linda Kramer was born in Decatur, Georgia, on February 27, 1967, but she moved to Houston, Texas in 1971. She graduated from Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas, in the class of 1985. An obituary posted in Boston Herald described Linda as a woman with "a wicked, mischievous sense of humor" who enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies and had "a passion for driving fast cars." Joey Kramer’s wife cared deeply about her family, friends, and her dogs, Lucy and Cosmo.
 
Linda Kramer recently worked in the high-tech industry as a contract administrator for Hewitt Packard. Joey and Linda were married for more than 13 years. In the obituary shared, Joey dubbed Linda as “the love of his life”. The obituary further reads, “Linda loved Joey deeply and his well-being and happiness were her top priority,' and that above all else, 'she loved her family and especially her nieces and nephews.” A day before her death Linda had wished Joey Kramer a happy 72nd birthday.

‘This explains why Joey wasn't gonna be touring with Aerosmith’

Tributes poured in for Joey Kramer’s wife as one on Twitter stated, “Shocked to hear that Linda Kramer, wife of @Aerosmith drummer @joeykramerhas passed away at just 55. Joey and Linda have always been very cool to me and wonderful people and this is beyond sad. Condolences to Joey and their family and friends. RIP.” Another posted, “Saddened to hear about Linda Kramer’s @MrsKramedog passing, sending so much love, condolences, and prayers to Joey Kramer and his family.”
 
The next one tweeted, “Very sad! RIP #LindaKramer My condolences to Joey's family & friends!” And, another added, “This explains why Joey wasn't gonna be touring with Aerosmith this year.  He had issued a statement a few months ago saying he would be taking some time off for family reasons. Damn.  R.I.P. Linda Kramer.”
