Lil Pump has been banned from flying with JetBlue Airways after refusing to wear a mask and claimed Covid-19 is a "hoax." In a now-deleted video, Pump cussed the airline for asking him to wear mask.

According to a report by TMZ, a rep from JetBlue said Pump, who was traveling on one of their Saturday flights from Fort Lauderdale to LA became verbally abusive with crew members, and also took off his face covering mid-flight and then failed to put it back on, even when asked. The airline allegedly contacted Los Angeles International Airport and asked them to have cops on standby, but reports suggest that he wasn't arrested. The captain detailed the incident, saying, "Pump was simply non-compliant with their mask policy, but later said he was sneezing and coughing into a blanket sans mask (perhaps on purpose)."

Pump finally obliged and put on his mask but later, he took to social media to slam them. TMZ shared the clip on Monday, which showed the rapper yelling: "F**k JetBlue! Fuck everyone that's working there!" He continued: "All 20-2021, I ain't wearing no mask. I don't gotta to wear no f**king mask! B***h, the corona is fake. Bye!"

“Wearing a face covering isn’t about protecting yourself, it’s about protecting those around you,” Joanna Geraghty, JetBlue's president and chief operating officer, had told USA Today in April. "Onboard, cabin air is well circulated and cleaned through filters every few minutes but this is a shared space where we have to be considerate of others. We are also asking our customers to follow these CDC guidelines in the airport as well.”

Pump's views regarding Covid-19 may not come as a surprise, as he has been outspoken about his support of President Donald Trump in the past, who also never supported wearing masks during the pandemic. Trump even attacked Joe Biden for wearing a mask. "I don't wear masks like him. Every time you see him, he's got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away from it, and he shows up with the biggest mask I've seen," Trump said, bragging about the large crowds of supporters at his outdoor rallies, many not wearing masks.
