Lifetime is one of the most-watched networks in the USA and fans eagerly wait for it to drop new projects as they are engaging and fun to watch. The network recently revealed its Cheerleader movie slate “Fear the Cheer” featuring back-to-back weekends of six new movies beginning August 28.

The first movie to reveal the dangerous side of Cheerleading in the network’s annual event is ‘Killer Cheer Mom’ starring Denise Richards in the lead role. The film tells the story of a young girl named Riley (Courtney Fulk), who is relocating to a new town with her dad James (Thomas Calabro), and stepmom, Amanda (Richards). Riley decides to try out for the cheerleading squad and hopes that she’ll make it.

But things get really wild when some cheerleaders from the group get unexpectedly expelled or injured under suspicious circumstances. So, what’s actually happening? Is Riley really that lucky? Or Riley’s mother is doing something diabolical to make sure that her daughter makes it to the team? The answer to those burning questions will be found when ‘Killer Cheer Mom’ arrives on Lifetime. Release date and how to watch

The upcoming thriller movie will be premiering exclusively on Lifetime on Saturday, August 28, at 8 pm EST. Viewers can watch the movie on Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network. Lifetime is also available on Hulu, Sling TV, Philo, Vidgo, AT&T TV, and FuboTV. If you are not based in the United States, using a VPN will help you to catch all movies from the network.


“Moving to a new town with her dad James (Thomas Calabro) and stepmom, Amanda (Denise Richards), high school junior Riley (Courtney Fulk) decides to try out for the cheer squad despite the stiff competition. With Amanda supporting her, Riley is hopeful she will make it on. But when some cheerleaders are expelled or injured under suspicious circumstances and Riley's chances get better and better, she can't help but wonder if Amanda is doing whatever it takes to get Riley on the squad.


The movie will see Denise Richards playing the role of Amanda. Richards is one of the prominent names working in Hollywood right now. She was a darling of the 90s and early 2000s movies. The former fashion model rose to fame with roles in ‘Starship Troopers’ and ‘Wild Things’. The actress created a giant fan base while working and garnered a lot of success.


Meanwhile, a young and new actress named Courtney Fulk will be playing the role of Denise’s daughter, Riley. Another important character, James, will be played by Thomas Calabro.

The movie also stars Tia Texada, Holly J Barrett, and Jay Jay Warren.


The movie is being helmed by Randy Carter. This will be the filmmaker’s second movie as a director for Lifetime after ‘Cheer Camp Killer’ (2020). On the other hand, Anna White has written the story for the upcoming movie. White has a long history of working with Hallmark and Lifetime. Her writing credits include a total of 14 movies.
