Lifetime is set to chronicle the relationship of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Andre Rison in new docuseries 'Hopelessly in Love'

After chronicling the story of Chris Watts and his murderous rage in 'Chris Watts: Confessions of a Killer' and 'Beyond the Headlines: The Watts Family Tragedy', Lifetime is set to tell the love story of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and former NFL star Andre Rison in a new documentary series that is set to release this week.

'Hopelessly is Love' is the docuseries that will provide an in-depth look at celebrities and their high-profile relationships.

According to the official synopsis shared by the channel, 'Hopelessly in Love will be "featuring deeply emotional new interviews, and never-before-seen footage."

"Each installment will be an impassioned journey through the intense ups and downs of a whirlwind romance that has lived in the limelight. Untold secrets will be revealed on how these star-crossed lovers ended up facing the ultimate tragedy," the synopsis added.

The first episode of the series will concentrate on Left Eye and Rison who dated in the 90s. "I was deeply in love. It was dope. She came by the house and never left," Rison said in the trailer.

Seems sweet, but their tumultuous relationship grabbed eyeballs after Left Eye decided to burn their house down. The couple engaged in public confrontations and fans and haters ate it up.

Regardless, they moved on from the incident. The couple dated in the early 1990s and even overcame their problems after the incident planning to get married in the early 2000s before Left Eye died in a Honduran car crash in 2002.

The Lifetime docuseries will also feature relationships between Faith Evans and Notorious B.I.G and Anna Nicole Smith's relationship with Larry Birkhead.

'Hopelessly in Love' will premiere on January 4, 2020, at 9.30 pm ET on Lifetime.
