Husband made holes in yacht and murdered wife by sinking the vessel on their honeymoon
Newly released photos from the US Coast Guard show how a British sailor, who murdered his wife while they were on their honeymoon on his yacht in the Carribean, intentionally sank the small vessel that they were on.
Lewis Bennett, a British-American man, pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife, 41-year-old Isabella Hellman, at sea. The prosecutors in the case are now looking to get the maximum sentence. They have released photos of the damage that Bennett allegedly caused to the yacht's hull in an effort to sink the vessel and make his new wife's death look like an accident.
The Daily Mail reported that the FBI has also accused Bennett, who is from Poole, Dorset, of intentionally sinking the small vessel in order to inherit Hellman's estate in a shocking incident that took place on May 15, 2017. The images have now become vital because they reveal the portholes below the waterline of the yacht had been opened deliberately and that the damage was made from the inside.
