Eric Trump's wife Lara posts video showing her dog chewing up a Nancy Pelosi doll in front of her two children
Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump and a campaign adviser to Donald Trump, has shared a video on her Twitter account that showed her dog tearing up a Nancy Pelosi doll in front of her young children. The video was shot by the 37-year-old herself as she sat on the floor while the beagle aggressively chewed the doll. Her two children, two-year-old Luke and 10-month-old Carolina, were also present in the video.
Later, Lara took the doll from the canine to show its resemblance to the 80-year-old. The doll was donning a red pantsuit just like the Speaker of the House, an American flag pin and a screwed up face. Sharing the video on Twitter on Thursday, July 16, Lara wrote: “Nancy is a big hit at our house!”
The social media video started with the dog reportedly named Ben aggressively tearing up the doll as Lara’s daughter Carolina laughed. But after pulling the doll from the animal, the TV producer asked her little son, “Hey, Luke, what’s the doll called that Ben has?” as she focused the camera on the young boy. But when Luke failed to give the correct answer, she again questioned him “No what’s Ben’s toy called? What do we call this toy?” the boy answered, “Nancy".
“Nancy, that’s right,” Lara said while laughing as she gave back the toy to the dog, who then continued to play with it. After going live, the video has since been viewed more than 300,000 times with over 5,000 retweets and comments when this article was published. A number of people on Twitter have criticized Lara for this kind of behavior as one wrote: “She’s someone’s grandmother. You should be teaching your children to respect their elders and differing opinions. Apple doesn’t fall far.” Another one tweeted, “That is disgusting behavior to teach a child. Thank goodness he will go to private school and this public school teacher will not have to teach him manners and respect for other human beings. Things that vouchers can’t buy. #publicschoolproud”. “What could go wrong with teaching young children to be disrespectful?” a third user commented while the fourth tweeted: “I always knew @LaraLeaTrump was a horrible person. Now we know she is a horrible mother. Not surprising!”
But it was not like everyone was against Lara, some of them supported her and her action as one Twitter user said, “Who sells the Nancy... my dog needs a chew toy.” “I call that toy NUTTY NASTY NANCY/ But I’m calling your children ERIC & CAROLINA ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE/ I can’t believe how big they got,” added another one. Though Lara is one of the highest-profile senior female workers working to help Trump win the 2020 election, a book by Mary Trump has claimed that the president “barely even knew who the f--- she was” before 2017. In her tell-all book, 'Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man', Mary has claimed that at a dinner at the White House in April 2017, the US leader said that he did not know Lara until she gave a campaign speech in Georgia that caught his attention.
“Lara, there. I barely even knew who the f**k she was, honestly, but then she gave a great speech during the campaign in Georgia supporting me,” Trump said in 2017, according to Mary’s book.
