Did Lady Gaga channel Princess Leia for Joe Biden's inauguration? Fans say she has come to 'end the evil empire'
Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States at the US Capitol in Washington, DC, and celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez will be descending like stars. Gaga will sing at the swearing-in ceremony after campaigning for Biden last year. She tweeted a solemn picture of herself praying inside the Capitol. "I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans," she captioned a photo of herself matching the grand architecture of the Capitol in all-white. The photo came nearly two weeks after the building was attacked by a pro-Trump mob.
She continued: "A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol."

In the photo she shared, she was dressed as Princess Leia from 'Star Wars'. This got fans thoroughly excited and they all tweeted that she has "come to end the evil empire". "Gaga giving us full on Princess Leia as she comes to end the evil Empire. May the Force Be With You, @ladygaga," a fan tweeted. "“Princess Leia Organa was one of the Rebel Alliance's greatest leaders, fearless on the battlefield and dedicated to ending the tyranny of the Empire.” Three cheers to. #StarWars #ladygaga #BidenHarrisInauguration," a fan wrote.
"Lady Gaga at the Capitol looks like Princess Leia giving a pep talk to the troops lol," one wrote. "Princess Leia on her way to defeat the dark side of the force. #princessleia #LadyGaga #StarWars #hope," another fan tweeted. Fans said that they feel a new hope coming along. "America really transitioning from a reality show into a Star Wars triology with lady gaga dressed as Princess Leia given us a new hope," one wrote.

Joe Biden had a historic landslide victory against Donald Trump in November 2020, something that the now-former President still refuses to accept. Just last week, the Capitol was stormed by Trump supporters and the Congress had to go into lockdown.
