Lady Gaga songs leaked: Singer asks fans not to share music, gets mocked for using 'pirated' photos
Another day, another Lady Gaga song leak. If you've been paying attention to the frenzied speculation that surrounds the impending release of the 'Born This Way' singer's forthcoming 'LG6' album, you already know that a snippet of one of her new songs, 'Stupid Love' had found its way onto the Internet last weekend.
And predictably, fans went absolutely mental over the good news, thinking that it was the leaked first single off her new album, even though its title and release date are yet to be officially disclosed.
While speculation was rife on whether the 'Stupid Love' snippet was new or old, legit or fake, that didn't stop her ravenous Little Monsters from devouring and downloading every single byte of information they could about the track. But one of the biggest indicators that the leaked song was a legit Lady Gaga track was the fact that Interscope records themselves had denied the song was genuine, whilst simultaneously scrubbing the Internet clean of its existence. "That's damage control at its finest, what more proof do you need?" howled her delirious fans.
The lucky ones who did manage to download the song while the news was still trending on social media just HAD to be all smug and pleased about it though. And they decided to take to the Internet to gloat about it. Well, of course, they did! Who wouldn't do that?
One of the biggest and funniest reaction memes that emerged out of the 'Stupid Love' leak showed a purported Lady Gaga fan clad in a ski mask while listening to her new illegally downloaded song. While it certainly got a big laugh, the 'Paparazzi' singer herself was getting tired of the depths to which her fans were stooping to by pirating her new music. She posted a reaction plea to her fans to stop illegally distributing her music, which prompted a tongue-in-cheek dig by a stock picture company... but her Little Monsters didn't take too kindly to that. Oh, dearie.
And even though the singer had made a request to cease and desist with the song piracy, yet another Lady Gaga song emerged online soon after the 'Stupid Love' track leaked. This one was called 'I Don't Want Your Love'. But fans were remaining cautious this time and not getting too excited about it. Most remained skeptical as to whether this was an actual new song or just a rehashed outtake from one of her previous recording sessions. The majority of fans were saying that it was old, claiming that it sounded "like her 'Monster' era voice" while others were still pretty adamant that it was a new song leak.
Whether these leaked songs are legit or not, we know how Lady Gaga feels about it. We also received word that an official announcement would shortly be made regarding her new music and tour plans, and #LadyGagaIsComing started trending on social media as soon as that news broke. So for now, let's strap in and await the impending news of her actual album release. If you're still gaga for more Gaga, she will be headlining the pre-Super Bowl concert called AT&T TV Super Saturday Night on February 1. But who knows what might leak before that? Or afterwards? Stay tuned for more!
