How did Yngx 17 die? LA rapper, 28, suffers gory death after arguing with car driver
A rapper named Yngx 17 died on Monday, February 28 following a road rage incident in North Hollywood. The hip-hop artist was 28. The gruesome news was confirmed by Los Angeles Times revealing that a “brief verbal altercation” happened around 3:40 pm that soon turned ugly. Yngx 17’s real name was Taariq Grant.
While the rapper died in an accident, other rappers too made headlines when they were shot and killed recently. Artist VNZA was murdered in Missouri back in June. Brooklyn rapper Supa Gates too faced a similar fate after he was shot multiple times at St John’s Place near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights on April 11. Chicago rapper KTS Dre made the headlines after he was shot 64 times on his head and other parts of his body in July 2021. Bay Area rapper Mike Darole was another hip-hop artist who was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in May 2021.

Rapper Yngx 17 was run over and pinned under a trailer after an altercation with a driver in North Hollywood got ugly. The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene. According to local authorities, the rapper was later identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and a family member. The driver of a white Toyota that was towing a trailer got involved in a verbal argument with a pedestrian that led to huge traffic on road. The pedestrian i.e. Rapper Yngx 17 climbed on top of the trailer that collided with a concrete barrier. He then reportedly fell and got pinned under the trailer.
The investigation is currently underway and no arrests have been made so far in the case. None of the family members have released an official statement on the matter but shedding light on the same Los Angeles Police Department stated, “Motorists are reminded to remain patient while driving on the roadway and pedestrians are reminded not to ride on portions of a vehicle that are not designated or intended for the use of passengers”, as reported by Los Angeles Times. Rapper Yngx 17 was not active on social media. His Instagram bio read, “Spoiled Asf” followed by “Let your ambition carry you.” He had recently released a single titled 'My Lilx Angel'.
