Kylie Jenner lip challenge with shot glass leaves 12-year-old girl with swollen lips and unable to speak
A teenager tried to do the Kylie Jenner lip challenge with a shot glass and ended up sporting a swollen lip for the next two days and unable to speak.
Danni Greenland, 30, from Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, who documented the entire thing could not stop laughing when her daughter Lily, 12, emerged from the challenge with her lips four times the original size. The teenager's inflated bottom lip hung so low that she could not speak.
In the video, the teenager held her lips in the shot glass as her eyes began to water. She said "it hurt" when her mother asked her why she was crying. Urged by Danni, Lily removed her lips from the shot glass only to reveal that they were swollen.
"I would say she looked like Pete Burns, to be honest," Danny said, Daily Mail reported. "I've never seen lips like it in real life. It was very surreal. It was like a lip filler job gone very wrong. Hopefully, it's put her off having lip fillers when she's older. They were probably about three or four times of the size of her natural lips. She usually has quite small natural lips."
As soon as her lips were out of the shot glass, the teen ran to the mirror to check out her inflated lips. She then attempted to pout like the reality star who inspired the challenge, bursting into laughter every time she did it. Lily was also mocked at her school where she was forced to go with her oversized lip. The teachers called her a "doughnut," she said.
"I found it so shocking seeing how big her lips were. They're looking nice and bruised now," she added. "They're not as big, but they're still not back to normal. They're a bit big and underneath her lip she looks like she's got a beard now."
Danni added that her daughter was not a fan of Kylie Jenner, despite wanting to try out the challenge.
