Kylie Jenner's former BFF Jordyn Woods defended herself after she faced backlash from her Instagram followers for wearing a traditional abaya during a trip to Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

After the 22-year-old body-positive model posted a number of photos of herself wearing abaya, a garment worn by Muslim women in parts of the Middle East, on Thursday, March 12, it infuriated a number of people. Many of them claimed that she had “mocked” the religion of Islam by donning the traditional outfit.

Jordyn disagreed with one of the users who accused her of disrespecting the religion, replying “I’m sorry if I offended you but in order to enter the mosque you have to wear an abaya… In no world would I try to mock another person nor culture.”

Later, she reiterated her point in a caption of a video of her twirling and posing in her hotel room while wearing the abaya. “For those of you that don’t know in order to enter the Mosque you must wear an Abaya. It was such an amazing experience getting to see the beauty of another culture," she wrote.

However, she expressed humility by admitting that she was open to learning about the Muslim community. When another social media user pointed out that she had her cornrowed hair on display in the photos and videos, while the whole point of wearing the traditional outfit was to cover up one's head, she responded saying, "Understood.”

“I just got properly educated,” she said in another reply. “Thanks sis.”

The social media influencer made headlines back in January when her fans accused her of getting a Brazilian butt lift after she posed in a skintight black dress which made her backside look enhanced. “When the bbl hits,” one user wrote, referring to a procedure that naturally transfers fat from other parts of the body to the buttocks to augment its shape and size.

“No one has gotten any butt lifts," Woods’ mom Elizabeth clapped back at the trolls, further explaining that her daughter had taken after her "genetics."

“We have ass naturally!” Elizabeth added. “This is one of the craziest things that I keep reading.”
