Season 16 of ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ ended with Tristan’s cheating ways catching up to him as the news of him kissing Kylie Jenner’s former best friends, Jordyn Woods was all over the news. This season, we see Khloe Kardashian trying to pick up the pieces and move on with her life. She pours all her love and energy into raising heir daughter True. The premiere episode of season 17 saw Khloe planning True’s first birthday.

While she’s crystal clear about the party theme and decorations, she’s unable to decide on whether to invite Tristan or not for True’s birthday. She feels that her emotions are still running high, and needs some more time and space away from Tristan, but at the same time, acknowledged that it would be unfair to True, if both her parents weren’t present for her first birthday.

Sisters Kourtney and Kim took Khloe’s side and suggested that Tristan shouldn’t be at her party, while mamma Kris Jenner felt differently. Kris advised Khloe to invite Tristan and reasoned with her by citing her own example of how she’s glad that she could be friends with the girls’ father Robert Kardashian after their divorce. Kris’s wise words do the trick, and Khloe decided to invite Tristan for their daughter’s birthday celebrations. Fans were very appreciative of Kris for helping Khloe make the right decision. A fan tweeted, “@KrisJenner It was best for Tristan to be invited...doing the right thing...isn't always the easiest. Glad you were there to tell Khloe that. #MomWisdom #KUWTK”.

Tristan does show up at True’s birthday, and Khloe handled the situation beautifully. She looked very calm and collected and didn’t show any disrespect to Tristan. We see the episode ending with Khloe in tears as she is very overwhelmed by everything. Fans were all very supportive and appreciative of Khloe’s decision to invite Tristan. A fan wrote,” I think Khloe inviting Tristan to True’s first birthday party, was a smart thing to do. she’s putting her child’s interest first before hers, and that’s how it should be!  #KUWTK”. Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, “Props to Khloe for including Tristan. That could not have been easy #KUWTK”. Fans can’t seem to stop appreciating Khloe. As a fan shared, “You’re so strong Khloé ! You are very admirable, don’t let any negativity get the best of you ! You’re an amazing human being and mother to baby True 💛 #KUWTK”.
