34-year-old Krystal Hall from Frankfort, Ohio featured in the self-titled episode 'Krystal's Journey' on 'My 600-lb Life' on Wednesday night, February 10. She is the wife of Freelin, an extremely supportive husband who definitely felt the pressure of taking care of her but his love for her trumped every other hardship he ever faced while being in a relationship with her and he selflessly continued to be her rock. Out of all the health ailments including diabetes, high blood pressure, and stomach issues, Krystal also was battling PCOS that made it difficult for her to conceive but she was still a mother. She had adopted her nephew Josh, who she loved to a point that it hurt when he was embarrassed to be seen with her in public.

Like most people that appear on the show, Krystal's weight was meddling with her day-to-day activities. She was not leading the healthiest of lives and she knew that her toxic relationship with food controlled her relationships with her family as well as the way she felt from the inside. “I feel like I’ve destroyed my life by letting my weight get as out of control as it is now because I’m 600 lbs and I’m miserable,” Krystal said. “Every aspect of my life is affected by my size, to where I have to have help to do a lot now," she added.

What happened to Krystal Hall?

Let's take a look at how her traumatic childhood was responsible for her staggering weight gain.

According to a Cinemaholic article, Krystal opened up about having experienced trauma from a young age. She was molested by a cousin between age 5 to 13. She along with her sisters were also subjected to physical abuse at the hands of her mother's boyfriend. Later on, his brother sexually assaulted all of them and Krystal decided to turn to food as a coping mechanism and after a point realized that the bigger she got in size, the lesser she got touched, and she never stopped eating due to this reason.

Already a whopping 250 lbs at ten years of age, Krystal kept at her eating habits and by the time she graduated high school, the scales topped 420 lbs.

How much weight did Krystal Hall lose with Dr Now's weight loss program?

The realization had hit Krystal hard. She knew that she had to do something to change her lifestyle and food habits because improving her health was really important. Krystal wanted to be able to enjoy her life with her family and the only way to do so was by getting the surgery. After consulting with Dr. Now, she got on the path of weight loss and aimed to lose close to 100 pounds to get the surgery.

Coming into the show, she weighed close to 618 lbs and by the end of the episode, the scales said she was down to 527 lbs. Krystal Hall had lost 91 lbs and Dr. Now cleared her for the gastric bypass surgery.

Did Krystal Hall get the weight loss surgery?

Unfortunately for Krystal, a countrywide lockdown was imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, shortly after she was cleared for surgery. Krystal fell off the wagon during this period and gained 53 pounds back from the 91 during those seven months. This caused her to lose her badge of approval for the surgery and along came a warning that if she didn't lose the weight that she had gained and move to Houston, Texas, for the surgery in less than two months' time, there would be no hope for her.

Making a decision to leave her home and move near Dr Now's clinic was a very tough decision for her to make but Krystal knew she had to do it. She was seen relocating with her son Josh in tow by the end of the episode, full of determination and hope. “And I feel like I’m more motivated than ever because I’ve seen a little bit of what I’m capable of and gotten a small taste of how life can get better for me and all of us if I keep making progress. So I’m not slowing down or getting off track again. I’m staying focused on what’s ahead and all the possibilities that will be there for me if I stay the course," she said.

Like previous episodes, this too was long-drawn and the relocation bit happened in the last eight minutes of the show. The episode also kept out details on whether Krystal got the surgery or not. However, her social media profiles do hint that she indeed went through with the procedure.

Does Krystal Hall have a Facebook account?

Krystal is very active on Facebook. Her bio states that she resides in Chillicothe, Ohio, and works at Chillicothe Cab Company as well as at Scioto Trails Group Homes. She and Freelin are still married and by the looks of it, their relationship is as strong as ever, and Krystal even shared a cute selfie with him earlier this month. However, she recently made her account private and all her Facebook photos are now hidden.
