''Oh no, I am so sorry. I lost my best friend, my rock and my heart in 2015 when I lost my son. He was 39 and an angel on this earth. Drugs and alcohol are so hard to overcome.''

"Thought I’d share this poem with you. My daughter wrote it after losing a dear family friend to addiction at the end of last summer. Amber was more like a sister to my daughter than a friend, really. Again, so sorry about Julie. She was beautiful and she mattered."

"I'm so sorry, Kristen. When my favorite uncle died with a needle in his arm after I had spent four months on Chapel Terrace locked in his shitty apartment with him to help him get sober for his daughter, I was pissed off. Then I couldn't stop crying. I still can't. I know. Hugs."

The '3rd Rock From The Sun' star did not share any details about the tragedy involving her sister. According to Mirror, Julie was a mother to three daughters. Kristen has, however, been open about her own battle with addiction. In her book 'Guts: The Endless Follies and Tiny Triumphs of a Giant Disaster', the actress revealed that during her teenage days, she became hooked onto drugs before she turned her life around. She opened up about being addicted to painkiller Vicodin. She also used to finish two bottles of wine a day before she sought rehab treatment.
