Who is Kris McGinn? GUILTY Ghislaine Maxwell's husband seen cavorting with new pal
After Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of charges such as sex-trafficking of minors, recruiting and grooming underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein for several years, on Wednesday, December 29, her reported husband Scott Borgerson was seen moving on in his life and carrying on with an affair with a new girlfriend.
In 2016, Borgerson, now 46, a tech entrepreneur, secretly married now 60-year-old Maxwell. Even their closest friends and family had no idea about the secret marriage until it was revealed by prosecutors in bail hearings. As Maxwell currently faces 65 years in prison after being convicted, Borgerson seems to be leaving his association with her behind. Although he had offered to post a $25 million bond to secure Maxwell's pre-trial release -- eventually rejected by the court -- Borgerson's name has not been mentioned throughout her three-week trial. He also chose to not show up in the trial proceedings in Manhattan.

Who is Kris McGinn?
In his $2.4 million mansion that he once shared with Maxwell and his two children from a prior marriage, located in the elite New England enclave of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, Borgerson was spotted with a new gal pal. The woman has since been identified as Kris McGinn, a 49-year-old local journalist, and yoga enthusiast. She works for the 133-year-old local newspaper the Manchester Cricket, where she covers beats like food and cultural trends.
McGinn was photographed by Daily Mail with Borgerson in the Massachusetts town in late November. McGinn declined to confirm or deny a relationship with Borgerson when she was approached by the outlet. A similar answer was given by the millionaire entrepreneur, who rebuffed a reporter's questions, saying: "Leave me alone, you're harassing me." McGinn is said to be going through a divorce herself from husband Wesley Straub. She is currently seen hanging out with Borgerson on weekends when she doesn't have her children. Until mid-2020, she had written for the Cricket under her married name Kris McGinn Straub. That was when her byline changed to Kris McGinn.

Borgerson's relationship with Maxwell has been shrouded in secrecy and news outlets have been unable to find any marriage license, or divorce papers, filed under their names in the town or county where they were living. The pair first met eight years ago when both of them has speaking engagements connected to ocean preservation, at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik in 2013. Two years later, Borgerson's 14-year marriage to his first wife, Rebecca, ended when she learned of his affair with Maxwell.
Borgerson was accused of him being physically violent, abusive, "extremely controlling" and being addicted to alcohol. In May 2001, Borgerson once allegedly threatened her, saying: "Don't make me beat you in front of the children." Apparently, the entrepreneur revealed his relationship with Maxwell in a very harsh manner, telling his now-ex-wife that he was going to London on business and he would send videos. "Rebecca watched a video of him and although he said he was going to be in London, he was actually in Miami with Ghislaine," the source said. "Rebecca was sitting there with her two young children watching this video of Scott and Ghislaine hugging and kissing. Rebecca was devastated. Things quickly fell apart after that."
For a time, Borgerson and Maxwell apparently shared happy home life, with Maxwell, who even helped to raise Borgerson's two children, a son now age 14 and a daughter now 11. Epstein's arrest in 2019, led their relationship to come crumbling down, which sent Maxwell into hiding, and forced Borgerson to step down as CargoMetrics CEO.
