MOSCOW, IDAHO: Internet sleuths have struck another conspiring theory surrounding the quadruple murder of the University of Idaho students. This time netizens have pointed out the eerie similarities between the cold-blooded Idaho murder and the Brentwood massacre. Nearly 8 years ago, five University of Calgary students were slain to death at a house party.

A quiet gathering took place on April 14, 2014, when students were celebrating their last day of classes on Butler Crescent in the nearby neighborhood of Brentwood. Accused murderer Matthew De Grood was among the partygoer. The tragedy unfolded after De Grood suddenly grabbed a knife and began fatally stabbing Lawrence Hong, Josh Hunter, Kaitlin Perras, Zackariah Rathwell, and Jordan Segura at the gathering. Police apprehended the suspect who was on a run and found a latex glove in his pocket and a clove of garlic in his sock.

It was later revealed de Grood suffered a psychotic breakdown and the reason he had garlic with him was, “to keep the vampires away" he told police. He was soon to be charged with five counts of first-degree murder but however, but his focal thinking became the concern of the case. Doctors who assessed him stated he was clearly experiencing a psychotic episode at the time. He believed he was “the son of God and Hitler reincarnated" and the victims were Illuminati, werewolves, and medusas, revealed the evidence, according to Global News. De Grood was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and found 'not criminally responsible' (NCR).

However, one Reddit user pointing out the similarities wrote, "Shows how a simple kitchen knife can be used to commit multiple murders, very quickly. Five students killed by a close friend. Fortunately, the killer had no intentions of getting away with it. Unlike in Moscow. So damn sad. The only way to survive such an attack is to be prepared with a better counter attack. Awful dangerous world." Another user simply disagreed ad questioned, "It's terrible, but not really seeing how it's similar?" Another user chimed, "Well it was in regards to people wondering how one person can kill 4 with a knife. Well theres five, by someone in the house that knew his victims. All students." "Maybe the girls took someone back with them or let someone in after they got home that they felt sorry for and wanted to help and it went a similar way….?" read a comment.
