Kirk Douglas, 102, poses for epic family photo featuring four generations including Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones
Michael Douglas' eldest son, Cameron, shared a photo of their big family on Instagram on Monday, August 19, that showed members spanning across four generations, including his 102-year-old grandfather, Kirk.
Kirk sat at the head of the table in the rare picture taken at the family reunion, while his wife Anne Buydens, 100, sat two seats away from him.
Apart from Michael, the picture also featured his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their two children – son Dylan, 19, and daughter Carys, 16.
Cameron was seen standing at the farthest corner of the picture, holding his 19-month-old daughter, Lua, with his girlfriend Viviane Thibes.
Lua and her father represent the fourth and third generations of the family, respectively.
Also present at the reunion were Kirk's son Joel, 72, and Peter, 63.
In the picture, Peter's wife Lisa Schoeder, and their two kids, Kelsey, 27, and Jason, 16, were also present.
The picture was captioned #FamilyFirst.
Earlier in December last year, a number of members of the Douglas family had shared pictures of Kirk when the patriarch turned 102.
Cameron had shared a picture of his grandad playing with him when he was little. "Happy Birthday to a gentleman’s gentlemen, with a true heart of gold. We Love you Pappy!" he had captioned it.
Catherine had shared a slideshow of family photos and videos to mark the occasion, writing, "Happy 102nd birthday to the most beautiful man. We love you Kirk"
Carys, on the other hand, wished him saying, "102 years young. to my inspiration, my pappy. I can't put into words how much you mean to me."
Last month, Kirk attended Michael's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony along with Catherine and Cameron.
During his speech at the ceremony, the 74-year-old actor got emotional talking about his father's influence on his life.
"It means so much to me, Dad, that you’re here today,” an emotional Michael said.
"Thank you for your advice, inspiration, and I’ll say it simply and with all my heart: I’m so proud to be your son."
Kirk has been married to Buydens since 1954.
When the couple was asked about the secret behind their lasting marriage in 2017, Kirk credited date night as a way to spark their romance every time.
“[Date night is] the same as it’s been throughout our marriage,” Kirk told Fox News.
“We spend what we call the ‘golden hour’ together at around 6:30 each night. We’ll sit and talk and laugh and share our day and our thoughts with each other.”
His wife added: "Except now we are very 21st century and bring along our iPads."
