Plot

Season 1:

In the first season of 'Kingdom', we saw how just 10 days after the King was found to be sick, the Queen and her father, country's Chief State Councilor Cho Hak-Joo, have shut down any contact with the King. So no one has met the King in 10 days, and this includes his son, Crown Prince Yi Chang. The Crown Prince figures out that something is fishy about his father's illness and so he tries to sneak into the King's palace.

That is when he sees something sinister -- a shadowy monster -- and there is a foul stench too. To add to this, the King's medical journal is also empty. So to figure out the truth about the disease, the Crown Prince along with his guard Moo-Young travels to a faraway village where the King's physician has a hospital. Upon arriving, however, they find bodies of dead people and a deserted hospital. Just one medical staff, Seo-Bi, survived and revealed to the Crown Prince that the dead bodies were not really dead, but will rise again to kill people.

Season 2:

The next season of the show will follow the Crown Prince's journey to find the truth behind how the disease broke out and who is responsible for the King contracting the disease too.
