Kim Kardashian has chosen to stand by her abstract all-white Christmas decorations despite them being likened to cotton balls or marshmallows.

But the 39-year-old fashion mogul appears to be unfazed by the criticism, and is sticking with her holiday decorations.

“Kim is extremely sensitive and she is not a fan of people calling out their feelings about her design or fashion missteps on social media, however, that doesn’t mean she will change anything or do anything differently,” a source told HollywoodLife. “She likes it and thinks it looks cute as it is.”

The backlash came after Kim took to Instagram and shared photos and videos of her minimalist and abstract decor on December 5. “I love these. They’re so whimsical, like Whoville, but all white,” Kim remarked in the videos, referring to the Dr. Seuss film 'The Grinch'.

That said, the decor matched her living space so well it seemed like they were a permanent part of her home. Resembling shapes such as Christmas trees and snowballs, the all-white decor was on full display at Kim and Kanye's Hidden Hills mansion. That said, the decorations may be familiar to many. They are the same pieces that were used in 2018 at the annual Kardashian Jenner Christmas Eve bash. The concept for the elaborate party was Kanye's brainchild, who was assisted by party planner Mindy Weiss.

It is difficult to miss how the minimalist approach replaces traditional Christmas shades of red and green with a monochromatic snow-white theme. Having said that, several fans took to Twitter to complain that the look wasn't very festive.

“She does see and read lots of fan comments but a lot of her choices are inspired by Kanye and she finds him so creative and smart,” the insider continued.

“He’s influential in everything when it comes to her outfit choices, Christmas decorations, designs of her brands, etc."

"Although nobody likes to hear negative things about their choices, it doesn’t mean she’s going to redecorate her house over what her fans are saying," they added. "She may just not share as much of it.”
