'Killing Eve' Season 3 Episode 1 Preview: Will Villanelle kiss or kill Eve in 'Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey'?
Bringing back the thrills and chills, Emmy winner Jodie Comer and Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh are back for an all-new season of 'Killing Eve'.
The season finale ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that showed how Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) was shot by Villanelle (Jodie Comer). Initially, there was much suspense about whether or not Eve will survive the bullet shot, but Sandra Oh's presence in the new season's first-look photos and teasers confirmed that she was alive. Recently, BBC America posted a new teaser that shows a bruised, battered and disheveled Eve at the MI5 headquarters.
In the promo clip, Eve says, "I don't want to talk about it." After watching that suspenseful video, fans can't stop wondering what will really happen in the new season. "Who hurt her? I just wanna talk," one fan asks. In another trailer for the entire season, Villanelle says, "When I think about my ex, I realize, I am so much happier now she’s dead." Fans can't stop wondering what will happen once she finds out that Eve is alive.
"First season Eve stabbed Villanelle second villanelle shot eve now they gonna kiss this season," one said and another posted, "Villanelle calling Eve her ex is hysterical! Almost spit my drink watching her first words! Can’t friggin wait!!!!!!"
Another one posted, "As much as I want Villanelle to kiss in S3, I don't think my weak heart can handle the intensity of action and I might actually die but I'm all for domestic Villanelle living their best housewife lives in Alaska with their army of stuffed animals. #KillingEve."
One fan already has a theory ready: "Guys, remember when Konstantin said that NOT whole of Villanelles family is dead? I've had the theory that season 3 is gonna be about that and it might fit with that new character of older lady! So excited. Also, Jodie laugh is a whole MOOD."
Titled 'Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey', the official summary of the new episode reads, "After being shot by Villanelle, Eve is attempting to rebuild her life. Villanelle is also moving on, until she is approached by an old foe. Meanwhile, Carolyn is being undermined at work, and Kenny can't leave his investigation into The Twelve alone."
As the new season returns, we can't help but wonder: Will Villanelle kiss or kill Eve once she finds out she is alive? Not just that, there are many more unanswered questions: Is Hugo (Edward Bluemel) alive? How is Nico (Owen McDonnell) doing? And whose side is Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) really on?
