'Killers of the Flower Moon' to be Scorsese's second-longest film

As per the latest report by Deadline, the upcoming Western movie will be 3 hours, and 26 minutes long, and will be Scorsese’s second-longest movie ever in terms of duration. The movie will be three minutes shorter than the director’s last movie ‘The Irishman’, which was 3 hours, and 29 minutes long.

The latest report also ends all the speculations about the movie being four hours long.

The film will premiere out-of-competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May before a theatrical release in October. Apple didn’t waste any time in buying the rights this time around. Scorsese had to face a lot of difficulties to find distributors for ‘The Irishman’ because of its runtime and Netflix took a chance by taking the rights to the crime drama. The movie turned out to be a gigantic hit and earned 10 nominations at the Academy Awards. Apple would be hoping to have a similar kind of success with Scorsese’s upcoming movie.
