'Killer Camp' was off to a great start on The CW. The opening episode introduced 11 campers arriving at Camp Pleasant and being greeted by the counselor, Bobby Mair. The group gets a quick introduction and here are the names— Carl, Sian, Rob, Jacques, Holly, Warren, Eleanor, Sam, Nurry, Rosie and Feargal. Also part of the list was a killer, handyman Bruce, a masked character who executes the campers. While the show had enough room for fun, there was also ample space for some chills and shrieks.

Here are some of the best moments from Episode1:

Let's blow 'em up

The campers alight from the bus and use a pedal boat to make their away across the lake on the campsite to meet Bobby. Everyone, except Feargal, reaches dry land and Bobby hollers across to hurry up only. What follows is the pedal boat getting blown up as a shocked crowd watch the boat go up in flames. There is just a scream, but no trace of the body. That's their first introduction to Camp Pleasant, which is safe to say, not really pleasant after all.

And then shock 'em up

Camp counselor, Bobby gives the campers a chance to earn money while performing tasks. However, there's a catch. The teams will be split into two and are required to stack up blocks as high as they can, but the higher they get, the opposition has a chance to electrocute them with a mild shock, but enough to displace the rhythm. Divided into pink and blue squads, Rosie and Sian take the lead on blue while Warren leads pink. The latter team wins making some money.

But not before a slippery climb

The first task to earn money is for the team to climb a slippery slope carrying watermelon juice to fill up a container at the top. Every drop means they earn some cash, but failure means, the killer gets to keep the money. The eleven campers tied by the waist hustle and this gives room for some laughs on the show.

Warren and Carl's bromance

The task is to earn immunity so that they wouldn't be the ones to die next. The task is to wear a swimming tube and battle to knock each other off the lake off the unsteady platforms laid out. A battle ensues that see some fall after being unable to balance themselves. Some fall off trying to balance themselves, but Warren wins and also gives Carl immunity. Talk about bromance!

The beheading of Nurry

The final minutes of the episode see Bobby gather the team around a campfire. He sends Nurry and Eleanor on a moonlight ride on segways. Both the ladies take a different route, but only one of them comes back. In this case, Nurry was the target as Bruce erects a razor-sharp fence at neck height which Nurry encounters, but is too late before she could dodge. That's another innocent camper kicking the bucket.

Who do you think the killer is?

'Killer Camp' airs Thursdays 8 pm ET on The CW.
