NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Twitch stars xQc and Hasan have reached a point of disagreement over Kai Cenat’s fan meetup and giveaway which resulted in a riot at Union Square. After a fan meetup during a livestream went wrong, Kai Cenat gained immediate attention from the general public on August 4.

The Twitch celebrity merely wanted to organize a giveaway as a way of expressing gratitude to his fans and seemed to have good intentions in mind. However, a much larger crowd than anyone could have anticipated gathered as supporters turned up in large numbers.

How did Hasan react?

After thousands of people gathered in Union Square, the situation swiftly descended into chaos, which the police and the media referred to as a riot. Stores were raided, cars were torched, and fans even started attacking one another. As things got out of hand, the NYPD intervened, some officers even getting injured in the process, and Kai was taken into custody. He is now being charged with unlawful assembly, inciting a riot, and other unspecified offenses.

In a broadcast on August 4, Hasan responded to the incident and stated that it had been exaggerated, claiming that the incident wasn't nearly as horrible as the media was portraying it to be. HasanAbi stated, "I f**king despise local media." He further described the situation as "Local media talking about f**king three dollars worth of Doritos like you know there was a bank run or some s**t." He went on to say, “They also wanna f**king make it seem like this is a riot that was completely out of control,” he said. He added, “It’s tragedy porn met with also like black unruly teenagers.” He also said, "The wildest part about this is not a single f**king storefront is damaged. It seems like it's most people just like f**king dancing. It's all children."

'Look at this s**t, Like what the f**k'

However, xQc completely disagreed. Hasan's take clearly irked the streamer, who launched into a tirade about how out of hand things were at the event. “Wait, some buildings were raided, cars destroyed, people are throwing f**king fireworks. Look at the images being shown on the screen,” he said, referring to a rioter using a fire extinguisher to cause disruption. xQc added, “There’s dog s**t everywhere on the ground. Look at this s**t. Like, how is this not out of control or a riot? It’s both! Look at this s**t. Like what the f**k.” He also stated, "Saying it's not out of control is f**king stupid," reacting to HasanAbi's video. After the incident, NYPD Chief Maddrey was questioned about whether the Twitch star will face any consequences during a press conference. Even though Kai was ultimately allowed to go, the Chief promised that something would "absolutely" be done.
