Kendra Wilkinson is struggling to convince herself that she is happy without Hank
Kendra Wilkinson filed for divorce from her husband Hank Baskett and is doing her best to remain as positive and forward thinking as she can be. Wilkinson and Baskett were married for almost nine years and have two children together. According to court documents, the former Playboy model filed for divorce in April from the former football player citing irreconcilable differences.
As reported by People, a source shared, "Kendra is not in the best place right now. She’s trying to convince herself she’s happy, but she’s not. During their marriage, Kendra and Hank went through all the right steps to make it work, and while there seemed to be some great and positive changes for them as a couple and as individuals, she struggled to deal with everything fully. She was hiding."
"She’s been through a lot, but she’s doing as well as can be expected. She has good days and bad days. But she knows she made the right decision," the source continued. On Tuesday, a clearly agitated 'Kendra On Top' star posted a since-deleted tweet which read, "Why is Hank recording me right now. Please tell him to leave me alone and stop."
"I'm minding my business and after I tell him to leave me alone he disrespects me," she wrote. "I'm trying to get out my house fast. I'm beyond sad. But recording me is my trigger." After deleting the tweets, Kendra posted that she was feeling "threatened" in another tweet.
Kendra and Hank's marriage was shaken up by a scandal that took place in the year 2014. Baskett allegedly had an affair with a transgender model while Wilkinson was around eight months pregnant. The TV reality star is also requesting joint legal as well as physical custody of their two children. She is also hoping to restore her maiden name, Wilkinson.
Kendra took to Instagram to write, "I’m doing the best I can in my life with the cards I’ve been dealt and I will continue to do that. I’m hurt because the world I thought was promised to me forever is now coming to an end." Since announcing the split, Wilkinson has been quite vocal about her ups and downs. "I’m starting to box things up and my heart can’t hurt anymore. I need prayers n strength today. I worked so hard for my home," she shared alongside a photo of an empty cardboard box.
Wilkinson also captioned a picture of her framed family portraits which showed her 8-year-old son, Hank IV and her 3-year-old daughter Alijah Mary and wrote, "My pride and joy wall is coming down. I’m not perfect with the way I’m reacting to my pain sometimes but I am getting stronger. My kids, mom, dad, friends n therapy have been helping. I’ll be able to breathe again soon. Love will always win in my heart and will never go a day without being there for the people I love n yes him. Even with the pain, I’m experiencing," she wrote.
Last month, Wilkinson even asked her Twitter followers when it was the right time to move on from a past relationship. "What’s your opinion… do I start dating/sex now or give myself more time? My heart is broken but I have needs. Lmaoooo #gimmelovin #notgettingyounger #33hereicome," she tweeted alongside with a spider and grandma emoji.
