Kelly Preston has tragically passed at age 57 after a two-year long battle with breast cancer. The actor has had a long and varied career in Hollywood, most recently in the film 'Gotti' alongside her husband John Travolta. 1. 'Gotti'
Kelly Preston plays Victoria Gotti, the wife of mobster John Gotti, played by her real-life husband John Travolta. The life of a mobster's wife isn't an easy one and Preston gives us a look at the stressful, pill-popping lifestyle that Victoria had gotten used to with the frequent absence and dangers of being John Gotti's wife. The film examined the toll a life of crime takes on a marriage, and Preston and Travolta were the perfect couple to portray that.
2. 'Jerry Maguire'
Perhaps one of Preston's most memorable performances is as the high-strung, career-focused Avery Bishop, the brutally honest partner to Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise). When Jerry loses his job after trying to find a way to be more compassionate at work, her reaction is a perfect encapsulation of the life he's leaving behind — and the bridges he burned to leave it. It's not an amicable break-up — the moment she comes to terms with being broken up with, a sharp fist to the face knocks Jerry flat on his back.
3. 'Jack Frost'
One of the more underrated Christmas movies, 'Jack Frost' stars Michael Keaton as a man who dies in a tragic car accident, whose ghost then inhabits a snowman built by his kids. Knowing he can only survive as long as winter does, Jack does his best to reconnect with his family — including his wife, Gabby Frost — played by Kelly Preston. Gabby doesn't get a lot of time to reconnect with her melting husband, but the moments she had with him melted all our hearts.
4. 'Joey'
She only appeared for a little while, but she made quite an impact on the 'Friends' spinoff. Appearing as Donna, Kelly Preston starred in the two-part story as Joey's (Matt Le Blanc) former crush, now married to another man. Joey and Donna battle their feelings for each other and make a go at trying to unite — but ultimately, Donna's love for her husband wins out, leaving Joey forever broken-hearted.
5. 'Sky High'
Kelly Preston played Jetstream, the superstar mother of the movie's protagonist, a woman with the capability to fly at supersonic speeds and who now has a successful career in in real estate.
