Kathy McCollum: Joe Biden called 'feckless piece of crap' by mom of slain Marine
The mother of a US Marine, one of the 13 US service members who were killed on Thursday, August 26, during a suicide bomb attack in an area outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International airport, has slammed US President Joe Biden, calling for him to be removed from office.
Kathy McCollum, mother of 20-year-old Lance Corporal Rylee James McCollum, on Saturday morning, August 28, spoke with conservative political talk radio host Andrew Wilkow during his show on SiriusXM Patriot radio, a conservative talk radio channel on Sirius Satellite Radio. There, she revealed that she had just been notified at her home that her son was killed in the August 26 attack.

Mother of U.S. Marine Rylee McCollum, who died in the Kabul bombing: “all you Democrats … who voted for [Biden], you just killed my son …[He’s a] feckless dementia ridden piece of crap who decided he wanted a photo op on September 11th.”

“That feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die,” she said, audibly overwhelmed with emotion, speaking about President Biden. “I woke up at four o’clock this morning, two Marines at my door telling me my son was dead. So, to [have him on] right before me and listen to that piece of crap talk about diplomatic crap with frickin Taliban terrorists who just freakin blew up my son and no, nothing, to not say anything about oh my god, I’m so sorry for families. So, my son is gone.”
Kathy informed listeners that her son had recently gotten married on February 14 and was expecting a child, who she said is due on September 26. She said that while she could not “afford to cry” right now, she was sure she would have a breakdown when the baby arrived.
She criticized Biden over and over, especially for his policy of taking US troops out of Afghanistan. “I never thought in a million years [my son] would die for nothing, for nothing, because that feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap who decided he wanted a photo-op on September 11,” she continued. “That’s what kills me. I wanted my son to represent our country, to fight for my country. But I never thought that a feckless piece of crap would send him to his death and smirk on television while he’s talking about people dying with his nasty smirk. The dementia-ridden piece of crap needs to be removed from office. It never would have happened under [Former President Donald] Trump.”
“You just killed my son with a dementia-ridden piece of crap who doesn’t even know he’s in the White House,” she said of Democratic voters. “He still thinks he’s a senator.” She blamed Democrats who “cheated” and voted for Biden, who she called a “treasonous man”. You did this to my son, every Democrat that’s listening, you did this to my son.”
Marine Corps Lance Corporal Rylee James McCollum was 20 and hailed from Jackson, Wyoming. In the aftermath of his death, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon offered his condolences online. “I’m devastated to learn Wyoming lost one of our own in yesterday's terrorist attack in Kabul. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Rylee McCollum of Bondurant. Jennie and I, along with all of Wyoming and the entire country thank Rylee for his service,” he tweeted.

McCollum's father, Jim, told The New York Times that McCollum was helping with evacuations and guarding a checkpoint when the attack at the airport happened. He added this was McCollum's first deployment. McCollum's sister Cheyenne told reporters that her brother was "going to be the best dad." Cheyenne said her brother was the youngest of four siblings, her single father's only son, and that he knew he wanted to be a Marine from a young age.
"He was a kid that touched everybody's heart," Cheyenne said. "He was a wrestler since he was four. He knew he was going to be a Marine since he was about that same age. He used to walk around in just a diaper and in his sister's pink princess boots carrying his toy rifle and play like he was in the Army or a Marine." They both told NYT that McCollum was a "beautiful soul" and that the family couldn't have been more proud of him.
In the aftermath of the blasts, President Biden promised retribution. “We will hunt you down and make you pay. I will defend our interests and our people with every measure at my command,” Biden said in the White House speech, calling those military members who died “heroes who’ve been engaged in a dangerous, selfless mission to save the lives of others.”
