Karl Lagerfeld's ashes to be mixed with that of his "one true love" Jacques de Bascher who died in 1989
Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld will be cremated and his ashes will be mixed with the ashes of his "one true love," Jacques de Bascher, who passed away in 1989 due to complicatons from AIDS.
It is reported that Bascher was Lagerfeld's closest companion in life, and the couple were together for almost two decades with Lagerfeld eveneven sleeping in a cot by his bed in hospital in the days before the 38-year-old's death.
Lagerfeld who passed away on February 19 at the age of 85 after suffering from pancreatic cancer was in a relationship with "bad boy" Bascher who was very popular on the fashion party circuit in Paris during the 1970s.
The German fashion designer was left heartbroken after Bascher died, and reportedly gave up sex for 30 years following the tragic death of his longterm partner.
