Kara Santorelli: Florida girl, 18, dies in car crash days after boasting about never being in accident
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA: A TikToker tragically died in a car crash just days after she boasted online about never getting into an accident. A car plowed into Kara Santorelli's vehicle in a head-on collision while she was driving in Escambia County, Florida.
The 18-year-old drove down Highway 29 in her Nissan SUV while a Chevrolet sedan smashed her vehicle after it came careening down the wrong way, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver who caused the wreck is yet to be identified and also perished following the incident, reported New York Post.

Santorelli's viral TikTok video
The Molino native who died in the accident on Monday, March 17, shared a now-viral TikTok video that was shot six days before the fatal crash. The TikTok video which showed the teenager posing inside her vehicle and touting her safety record has garnered more than 15 million views. The video's caption read, "When they try call me a bad driver but I’ve never hit a person or an actual car." According to her obituary, Santorelli often posted videos of her with her best friends and was mostly active on TikTok. The teenager loved boating as well as spending time with her family on the beach.
'A little piece of my heart died today'
Santorelli's aunt Gina Southard shared a heartbreaking tribute on Facebook. She wrote, "A little piece of my heart died today when I found out my niece went to heaven. I love your beautiful soul Kara!" Lacey McLaughlin, the grieving mother of Santorelli, shared a series of posts and wrote, "I love you Kara. God blessed me with you."
The Northview High School where the teen was about to graduate expressed their grief. "We hold tight to beautiful memories that she had left with us. Her beautiful smile and kind spirit will continue to be in the hearts of her friends and classmates," said the school officials, according to New York Post.
Mourning Santorelli's death, Jimmy's Grill where she worked called her someone who always brightened up the day of her coworkers and the story. "If you didn’t know Kara you missed out on knowing a very special person and it’s a void in our hearts. We will always remember you and know that you can put a smile on everyone’s face even through the rough times!" read a Facebook post shared by the restaurant.
