Kanye West has shared a photoshopped picture of himself on Mount Rushmore on Twitter amid his 2020 presidential bid. The mountain in South Dakota features the faces of four US presidents — George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt — honoring their role in American history. And it seems the 43-year-old rapper has already envisioned himself as the successful leader of the US as he added his edited face alongside them.

West, who is married to Kim Kardashian, shared the edited image on his Twitter account that showed his face carved out on the mountain. He wrote, “2020” in the caption. The tweet comes after the ‘Jesus is King’ singer filed a document with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Thursday, July 16, after he announced his run for the White House on July 4. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION,” he tweeted at the time.

According to Fox News, West’s Statement of Candidacy document lists his party affiliation as "BDY,” which stands for “Birthday Party,” while the name of his committee is “Kanye 2020”. The filing was done a day after a Statement of Organization was submitted to the FEC with West's name on it. The submission meant West has raised or spent over $5,000 (£3,965) on campaign expenses, advancing him candidacy status under federal campaign law. On the candidacy document, the ‘Yeezus’ rapper reportedly gave his address as Cody, Wyoming. "I hereby designate the following named political committee as my Principal Campaign Committee for the 2020 election," it read.

Meanwhile, Caitlyn reportedly wanted to be on the ballot with West in the upcoming election. As per a TMZ report, the 70-year-old has said that she would love to be considered as 'VP' for West's run for POTUS. When Jenner was asked if she would vote for the father-of-four, she shared: “I texted him and said, 'can I be your [vice president]?'" The American TV personality was asked if she was serious about her plans, she said, "We’ll see!" However, the 'Stronger' rapper had already announced his plans to make 'biblical life coach' Michelle Tidball as his running mate.

Last week, West created a lot of buzz after giving an interview to Forbes, where he confirmed he was indeed running for president. In the wide-ranging interview, he also shared his views on the Covid-19 vaccine and his stand on abortion.

During the interview, West revealed his doubts over the coronavirus vaccine as he called it the “mark of the beast”. “It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralyzed… So when they say the way we’re going to fix Covid is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast,” the composer said, adding: “They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven. I'm sorry when I say they, the humans that have the Devil inside them. And the sad thing is that the saddest thing is that we all won’t make it to heaven, that there’ll be some of us that do not make it.”

West also shared that he was anti-abortion as he stated: “I am pro-life because I’m following the word of the Bible.”
