'Kandi & The Gang': Meet Shawndreca Robinson OLG's self-proclaimed 'original' hostess
When it comes to running an empire, Kandi Burruss certainly knows what it takes. The reality star and business owner has many feathers in her hat and among them is being a restauranter. With Blaze and OLG run by her and her husband Todd Tucker, Kandi is all about creating a legacy and places a lot of importance on loyalty from her staff and family. So it comes as no surprise that some of her OLG staff has been there right from the start, just like Shawndreca Robinson.
Bravo's new reality series 'Kandi & The Gang' is all about how Kandi hopes to restore OLG to its former glory, with the help of staff and friends along the way. Who is Shawndreca Robinson?
As per her Bravo Bio -- "From Buffalo, NY, Shawndreca is the first, and self-proclaimed original, hostess at OLG. She has a sharp tongue that can occasionally get her in trouble with management. Outside of OLG, she’s the owner of Shades by Dreca, operates several Airbnb rental houses, rents out kids bounce houses, and even teaches swimming lessons. That’s a quintuple threat!" Robinson recently spoke to Shoutout Atlanta about her budding business Shades by Dreca, offering insight into what pushed her to start the same.
"Well as you know Covid-19 changed everyone lives. With the losses and gains my world changed for the better. During the pandemic I was given enough time to re-evaluate my life, my goals, my relationship, and take a leap of faith with God by my side. I’ve work over 20 jobs and I was never happy. The pandemic showed me I could do anything I put my mind to. If I could run a medical office by myself I could run my own business and felt free. I’m so proud of my self for running a successful business during a pandemic. I wanted to maintain and keep my freedom," she explained.
However, she also explained that it was not all smooth sailing for her. Despite this, she continued to put in all the hard work, in order to get closer to her own personal goals. "Sometimes you may be at war with your own thoughts that are telling you, you can’t do it, you're not good enough, there not going to like it. I want people to redirect their thinking to positive thoughts only. If a negative thought can transpire every 15 seconds. Imagine what a positive thought can do to change your day-to-day thinking. Stop doubting yourself, because if I can do it so can you. Shades by Dreca will not only become a brand but I want it to create an EMPIRE!" she added.
