Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry reveals that she would rather date women than men
In a Teen Mom 2 (June 11) episode recap, Kailyn Lowry shared that she would rather be dating a woman right now. Kailyn has previously shared that she really does not have a preference when it comes to dating men or women.
While she was preparing for her new podcast, Kailyn spoke about wanting to stay away from men. When one of the producers asked Kailyn, "Are you looking for a girl or are you looking for a guy?" she responded by saying, "No, I don’t have a preference. Well, I think that a girl would [understand] me more. Like, they have more patience and whatever. But I also compare everybody to Chris [Lopez], and right now, every man is like Chris — I want nothing to do with them."
Kailyn further went on to explain she was with women before she was with Chris and right now she "wants to stay far away" from the male species. Unfortunately for her she was not able to do that for very long and was forced to meet Chris in court as he had requested an emergency custody hearing for their baby Lux.
Despite Chris being present in the baby's life much, he was still able to get supervised visits with the baby and, naturally, Kailyn was absolutely furious. So far she has been raising her child on her own, but it looks like her baby daddy wants in. "I haven’t talked to him in two months and he hasn’t asked to see his son," Kailyn shared.
"Chris said him not having contact with the baby is detrimental to the baby and will cause harm by him not knowing his father. Mind you, he didn’t sign the birth certificate, he didn’t want me to file for custody or child support, but then he turned around and filed for custody," she continued. "Every child needs their father and I don’t have the right to take Chris away from his son. But at the same time, the baby is four months old. Nobody knows what’s best for this baby more than me," she added.
After the court visit, Kailyn explained how he had been granted supervised visits for the four weeks and will be supervised by his aunt. "Why can’t the person who supervises the visits be a neutral party? I don’t trust his family to be there. I got what I wanted for Lux, but I’m upset still. There is no winning. Lux still loses because he won’t have both of his parents," Kailyn added.
Recently, Kailyn did date a woman called Dominique Potter who suspected that Kailyn had cheated on her during their seven-month relationship and it so happens, her speculation turned out to be valid. As reported by Radar Online, Potter spilled all the details on the shocking Teen Mom 2 cheating scandal.
Kailyn and Potter started dating in November and split up in May when Kailyn went on to admit that she had hooked up with her ex-husband Javi Marroquin in January. The cheating scandal did come as a shock to Potter but she shared that she had always had her suspicions.
"She did cheat on me with Javi. That was out of her own mouth. She said they hooked up. She said they even discussed hooking up. She said, ‘I messed up, I f**ked up.’ She hasn’t tried to apologize," Potter shared.
"I have questioned her multiple times with Javi. Things that didn’t feel right. With Javi, she wasn’t saying he was at the house to do a podcast, or that he came over to talk about him and Brianasplitting. I had to find out through other platforms," she continued.
Potter also insisted that she would not get back together with Lowry. "She hasn’t asked to come back. But I’m good," she added.
Since the time that they started dating, Potter shared how Lowry had requested that she "leave it alone" and that she had to keep their relationship a secret. "I don’t know why she didn’t want to go public… She did in the beginning. But if she’s doing something else, that’s why she doesn’t want people knowing she’s in a relationship. She’s telling the world she’s single, of course, no one is going to respect our relationship if no one knows it exists. She was keeping her cards open. If people think you’re single they’re going to flirt with you. She didn’t want to lose that constant attention from other people," she added.
In response to this, Lowry took to Twitter to explain, "Dom & I dating – I wasn’t trying to deny her or a relationship. We had fun while it lasted but things didn’t work out. I’ve learned a lot over the years and wanted to keep things private & off the show but I don’t think I really handled it properly."
